"I only shaved as it seemed most men prefer a shaven haven but itched like f**k so growing it back now. "
That brings back memories I hated that damn itching. I will never go back to shaved. |

"If it was meant to be bald it wouldnt have hair in the first place. All this nonsense about it being more hygienic to shave is just that. Nonsense!"
An interesting perspective... do you shave your armpits and legs? There's meant to be hair there too. |

I am on the fence with this one. Have met ladies from full bush to totally smooth and enjoyed all, but i do feel that a lot of people trim or shave due to pressure and expectations. I would not be suprised to find out a lot of guys on here have trimmed or shaven just to increase how many meets they get. |

It isn't dumb, it is more hygiene, hairy fannys can pick up pubic lice, shaved ones are much less likely too. |

I thought people shaved their pubes due to societal brainwashing, porn over exposure and because it feels funking awesome whilst you're sexing, but silly me of course it's due to the great pube lice epidemic of the 21st Century... And Im now gona have to delice my vajajay on the regular just in case!... I wonder if diatmaceous earth will be effective or should I use bleach??... lol x |

Every time there's a thread about pubic hair, the issue of hygiene arises. What some don't seem to get is that it's not the presence - or absence - of hair which determines hygiene, but the attitude and approach of the individual concerned. Personally, whether or not I have hair at the time, I am scrupulous about being freshly and thoroughly washed before sex, and I expect the same from my partners, hairy or not. I wouldn't be *less* demanding because they were smooth for example and having no hair does NOT automatically mean someone will be fresh and clean just as having hair does NOT automatically mean its owner is unhygienic. |

One guy I met used to love some hair there as he said it freaked him out without hair and made him feel like he was with a pre pubescent girl!
I personally prefer smooth as it feels better when a man is giving me some attention |

I agree. I like being smooth for the feeling when men (or women) touch me, and I also prefer the look on me and others.
If the guy you used to meet can't tell the difference between a grown woman's shaved pussy and that of a prepubescent girl then it says something him.
Incidentally, yours looks lovely! |

"Wonder how many guys still hanker after a natural bush?"
Personally, I have no preference as to whether a woman shaves or not...
However, I do love the feel of a natural bush...especially if I'm giving oral...

I choose to be hair free most of the time. I prefer it and feel more comfortable that way.
As with everything I do, I do it for me and no one else.
Without shaving I am very hairy. I personally don't like putting on a nice thong or Brazilian pants and have hair poking out all over the place. It looks untidy and doesn't make me feel good. Especially hate it when you catch a hair in the elastic!! Why is every hair on your body connected to your eyes?? |

I going to write your informative reply down on a flash card and every time someone states they cannot go down on my hangry (hairy hungry) vajayjay, I'll impart your knowledge!!
And to everyone saying they can't stand hairs in their teeth I say I can't stand hairs being ripped out of my crotch so stop munching them please! |

Thank you kindly. Yours looks pretty amazing too. I didn’t change it for him. If he was unhappy I told him to move along |

Ha ha quite!
You know, being a woman of a 'certain age' I've been having sex for a considerable time - and for most of that time, my partners usually had hair. Hand on heart, the number of times I have had to stop to fish a pube out of my mouth is negligible, took just a moment and, in the greater scheme of having good sex, hardly mattered. What's more, I have *never* once experienced the phenomenon of getting a hair actually stuck inbetween my teeth which is apparently a common affliction! I mean, and I'm being serious here, you would surely have to be *chewing* someone's hair for that to happen right? Wasn't how I was taught to do that side of things ....
I *do* get why some people prefer to go hair free, I really do, I do sometimes as well ... main reason being we're all different and entitled to style our bodies as we see fit. But putting other people's choices down with silly arguments and body shaming in order to justify your own just makes me very . For what it's worth, that includes suggesting that hair free women look like little girls (which is crazy) but unfortunately it does seem that women who dare to retain some or all of their pubic hair are subjected to even more insults about their choices with such remarks along the lines of being unhygienic and smelly, being 'jungle' like and so on.
Why is this all such a big deal? If I cared enough about an aspect of someone else's body to be turned off by it I simply wouldn't get involved with them ... I wouldn't then feel the need to come onto a thread about said body part or style and insult anyone it applied to |

It isn't dumb, it is more hygiene, hairy fannys can pick up pubic lice, shaved ones are much less likely too. "
Pubic hair offers a natural barrier to keep things clean, to decrease contact with viruses and bacteria, and to protect the tender skin of the area,"
While protecting against diseases and skin problems, pubic hair prevents foreign particles like dust and pathogenic bacteria from entering the body.
Pubic hair also helps to control the moisture of the area which decreases the chances of yeast infections."
Other complications include vaginal and vulvar infections, inflammation of the hair follicles, abscesses, lacerations and allergic reactions.
Dr Mackay said that tiny "wounds" left by shaving, along with the warm and moist genital area, created a "happy culture medium" for bacteria to grow in.
"If you shave your pubic hair, you are putting yourself at a higher risk of contracting genital warts," she added.
"Although pubic hair doesn’t completely prevent it, it helps avoid skin on skin contact with someone who may already have it.
"Removing pubic hair also irritates and inflames the hair follicles left behind, leaving microscopic open wounds."
Just some quotes from a report I read online. When was the last time pubic lice was an issue? |

I used to shave for sexual purposes in my 20's, I loved the feeling of skin again skin as well as getting my clit knocked by public bone thrusts lol.... A few years back in my late 30's I just stopped shaving as I wasn't having any casual sex, and it felt good to just relax into my yeti years .... lol.
Now I'm back hunter gathering I've realised how much I cannot stand the feeling of a completely bald pussy slowly growing its hair back... It's a very maddening experience for me so I just trim and that's that! Lol x |

It's all about conformity. Shaven looks the same. Hairy can be shaped, trimmed and have an individual look.
As usual you get all the crap about hygiene. If a person's pubes smell, it's because they do and they will, whether shaven, trimmed or untouched.
Of a certain age I can remember when shaven came to the fore, mainly because of the porn industry in the 70's and 80's, it was quite exciting seeing a shaven one then. Now, like pictures of cocks, they all look the same. |

we both prefer au natural, looks more erotic seeing a bush on people and feels nice to run your fingers through it as you lick but then that's just our personal preference. It is also very erotic to both of us to see a bush poking through the sides of panties mmmmmmm |

I only have hair on my head and that’s the way I like it. I’ve had laser hair removal so it’s never coming back.
I’ve never had a negative comment about it. In fact most guys can’t believe how smooth it is. |

Isn’t it all personal choice, pubic hair has reasons for being there yes but to say it’s going to stop dust or whenever was said would be a little silly considering
1) the majority (not all) of us wear underwear
2) when we stand (by we I mean women coz I am one lol) the pussy is closed (for want of a better word) we don’t spend all day every day on our backs with our legs in the air waiting for shit (metaphorical ) to fly into us ffs
3) as for hygiene, using the bits and bobs we have in the bathroom will determine that regardless of pubis length
4) the reason we have it, like any other hair on our bodies, is now moot point, for example we have hair on our heads to keep us warm yet we use central heating
Come on guys, you’re all smarter than this, how about instead of petty arguments over nothing we all stop judging others personal choices and respect each other’s preferences |

Used to have a big Tina Turner do going on down there, then Mr asked me to shave so I did. I love how sensitive it feels after being shaved so I prefer mines this way.
Have seen some lovely photos on here with nicely trimmed ones..
.considering growing some back |
