"You could always get the ball rolling yourself "

I've been trying this for a while now. Had a social meet posted for two days now, the only replies I've had are for different days, meet at my house, car or hotel! Seems that lots whinge about not getting meets but when they are posted try to persuade you to do something different!

I thought the op meant organised socials.

We gave up looking for socials posted as individual meets because they all come with the rider "possibly leading to more". We all know that on Fab possibility means definitely

Worcester

Its like everything else in Cornwall.

Best place in the country between April and October.

Ghost town for the other 6 months.

We love the place but could never live there.

Its due to Cornwall being so seasonal

We love St Austell and especially Charlestown.

Staying in St Meryn next year, have booked a barn holiday home in July.

You could try organising one yourself although speaking from experience it’s hard work lol

I organise one in Worcester because so many people have said they wanted one. Loads of single guys asked to come to the first one guess what hardly any turned up. Women weren’t really interested either because there isn’t that many on the site in my area or they don’t need/want a social. Anyway the first one we had 19 people the second one 45. Still undecided about a Christmas one as I know loads of single guys will ask to come and not turn up

"Why is there a lack of social events and gatherings in Cornwall must be some peeps in Cornwall wanting to organise something ? Come on Cornwall "

so you are waiting on someone else to do you a benefit??? charming...

can i say there is nothing to stop you from getting off your derriere and getting to organising something yourself you know..... its a radical thought!

here is what i have learnt...

"if everyone waits on someone else to do something, then invariably nothing ends up getting done!"

so..... whats stopping you....

I scouted our some places that I thought would be good location for people coming on train or parking. With a seperate section that could be taken over by FAB people. I advertised the date and time but not the location. The location was sent out 2 days before to those confirmed. I told people in the lead up that the location would be town centre but not revealed until a certain day to those confirmed
