The Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon admits to touching the knee of radio presenter Julia Hartley-Brewer who threatened to punch him in the face if he did it again.

He's been a naughty boy but is this really news? I'm not condoning his actions but he has admitted it was inappropriate and apologised at the time.

Isn't it enough that Miss Hartley-Brewer has the common sense to laugh this off and avoid a witch hunt. As she states 'to pursue this would demean real sexual assault cases.

Repeatedly touched her knee and didn't stop until she threatened to punch him, what about before and after this incident with other women not as strong minded as Brewer or just starting out on their careers. I agree we don't need a witch hunt but to me it shows that if he was prepared to "try it on" with someone like her then he almost certainly is a serial offender.

I think more of this is being made of it than it warrants to be perfectly honest and to suggest that he us 'almost certainly' a serial offender is quite a leap. Miss Hartley-Brewers response is a breath of fresh air in this current wave of hysteria. She has dealt with this in an appropriate manner and that should be an end to it.

There is nothing to suggest otherwise.

Fallon is a non story that has already been settled by both parties, however the media have made a big thing of it to keep the public interest in absence of the names of the alleged other sex pests.

I think the press already know, but are being prevented from releasing the names by lawyers.

Would be interesting to see if Parliamentary Privilege could be used by an MP to reveal the names to the House.....

Has anyone else accused him of doing anything?

If a man touched me knee uninvited, I would slap his hand. I would not run around accusing him of anything sexual. As the lady in question says it demeans real cases of sexual assault. XXX
