ive had 7 this morning.... possibly in their defense they "may" have read my profile - just ignored it! then they have the nerve after a polite no thanks, to ask why.... then ask me to change my preference ?????

Then you get all the posts from single men saying how 'rude' it is not to reply. Well I think it's rude not to read what people have taken the trouble to write on their profile. So there !

But.. its just little things like total disrespect that do annoy me... The collar comment was to me like asking another man asking me to wear their ring.. okay it was only for that time.. but it was insulting...

Funny thing is, I have only been let down by couples on this site, all the single ladies I have met, who requested a meet.
I don't message, I get winks aplenty, and then the mails start, the "oh so excited to meet, tell me what you are going to do with my wife" mails and then, "sorry, somethings come up" and then evaporation
But I guess you couples dont want to hear that, because its the single guys that are the timewasters.......sigh

I should mention I am not part of a couple.
I am part of the also much complained about group of married's playing alone
I also mainly only meet single men so I know there are genuine, nice guys out there whocan read and stringa coherent sentence together xxx |

Here we go. As soon as someone has a legitimate gripe, a group of single men turn up saying if we weren't so mean then we wouldn't get treated so badly. I am afraid what the OP posted is true - very, VERY few single men read my profile. We can tell you know, there are little clues in the profile that tell people what we want and still, people don't read it. They see 'single woman' and click 'message'. It's rude and reflects badly on the messager. And when it happens over and over again, of course we are going to start thinking that there is a theme.
If a single woman wants to filter messages from single guys, that's her prerogative. A single guy is more than welcome to filter messages from single women. Nothing stopping you from preventing us 'whinging women' from messaging you. But I stronglt recommend people (and couples do also act the same) start reading profiles carefully and then you'll have a lot less messages going unread and deleted. |

I think its too much of a generalisation to say that its only single men that do not read profiles. Seldom does my profile get read in any depth before a message comes "how big is your cock". Now I dont mind, genuinely who cares right, I can delete it, reply and say, thank you for the compliment etc etc. It really is no biggie (pardon the pun).
It would be more honest to say that a lot of "people" do not read profiles, rather than singling out one group of website users. I dont doubt that couples and single ladies get a lot of dross in their inboxes, but I have three outstanding friend request from couples that havent even said "hi" and about 9 winks from people whose profile does not match my own, ok its not an "avalanche" of unwanted attention, but it exists all the same.

That's totally correct except your cut and pate stopped in the wrong place
I would rather meet married men because they understand my 'constraints' more but they are more likely to sent mails saying things like 'when can we meet ?' and 'wanna fuck ?' hence most of the men I get on with are single

To be honest this whole thread was hijacked up along , when someone said "block all single men", this immediately turned the thread from "why dont people" into "why dont single men". Its not your fault, its not my fault, its......

Your thread got hijacked to be fair, but it did open up into an interesting discussion.
The bottom line for me is this, we all joined a swinging site, we all put our profiles up there, some of us have pictures, some of us have a long list of "requirements", some people will read profiles and some wont, but we all joined the site, if we dont like attention from certain quarters, block and goodbye. Its swinging, not a vocation, I think some users (and I am not talking about the OP), need to learn to take a deep breath and smile.

Hey we even have inside plumbing nowadays in Shropshire !
I'm not sure that the Lichfield dialect is better than the Shropshire one but I personally don't have a yocal accent at all - although parts of Shropshire definately do !

Just for info since writing the OP I have had two winks and 3 friend invites - all with no messages
And 4 messages from men under my lower age limit (by quite a way) and 1 from a bloke in Scotland
Not all were single men btw

It is annoying at times. There's been times when we've wondered why we have a profile in the first place.
What gets to me a bit is when we reply with "Sorry we're only looking for a fem, no men." we get a, you should of read our profile first, from the couples, even though we don't message couples, we only respond to them.
& for the single guys, we've filtered them out of messages but while in the chat room we have to repeat again & again & again that we are not interested in meeting (or anything else) with guys. We have found that though the majority of the guys on here are great...polite, funny etc, there is always a guy in the room that can't understand the word no or goes on to make up s**t about me. ie saying that I'm only saying no because Tods there, that I actually want more. Basically I get called a liar quite a bit, just because I don't want to meet up with a guy behind Tods back or that I'm lying because I've said I've had enough & that it's time for bed.
At the end of the day, as frustrating as it is, they are the minority & I'm not going to let them spoil our fun. Ignore/delete & forget about them. |

Exactly. Although we moan about SOME people on here, the majority are lovely, and thats what makes this site for me. I just wish that, when people do have a quick moan, everyone would stop assuming they're moaning about them! |

Exactly. Although we moan about SOME people on here, the majority are lovely, and thats what makes this site for me. I just wish that, when people do have a quick moan, everyone would stop assuming they're moaning about them!
