As a "posh" sounding man I find it surprises women/couples here on fab and actually puts some off meeting.
Surely there are women here who actively enjoy a well-spoken accent? |

So you get to the point of a phone chat and then they cancel ?
Do they say it's your posh voice or are you assuming that ?

"I do love a posh accent... especially a posh English accent on a man. Really excites me when they tell me what to do. "
Ooh yeah. Have a total weakness for Colin Firth. He's just sooo posh!!! |

Once upon a time a young lady referred to my appendage as 'posh cock'.
It seems to have stuck |

"I sound posh to people not from the south east
Apparently most men from the south sound posh to me. Not the women, though. Odd, that. "
Gonna grab a handful of your arse and call you 'totty' |

I have a pretty standard East of England accent with bits of Yorkshire and America mixed in. But I do have a way with words and a large
One potential meet, upon hearing me on the phone said, "oh you are dead posh" |

A "posh" accent isn't a turn off at all but then I'm accused of being posh on the basis of my accent.
Claiming to be posh when someone contacts us, telling us they are upper class, on the other hand is very offputting. Wasn't sure how it was relevant or whether they were expecting us to call them Sir. |

I've been turned down twice because of my accent. Came to the chat on the phone before meeting, and decided I was "too posh" to meet! This is over several years so not a regular occurrence |

I enjoy a well spoken guy. I suppose the personality, looks, body shape and experience is also a factor. |

One a scale of Steven Gerrard (1) to Jacob Rees-Moog (10). I'm probably a 7. But it puts me off when people presume I'm 'posh' because it shows that they can't distinguish between a £10k a year private school and a £30k a year one, and ignorance is never attractive. |

Almost every time I speak to a person from here in the flesh, they're always surprised at the way I speak - I think as a man with tattoos I'm perceived as being someone who'll sound like I'm from the East end of London and born within the sound of Bow Bells....I also sound 'posh' to some people and can write complete sentences all on my own as well! |
