Ok. So you send an email to a profile you like the look of.
A) It gets deleted - hey no issue, they are not interested.
B) It gets read, but no reply. Are they not interested, is it just the wrong time?
Is it wrong to send another mail a few weeks later? I don’t often send more than one mail.
How do other people feel? Where do you draw the line between interest and harassment? |

If someone's interested in you, they'll reply pretty soonish after reading.
Anything else is game playing. That's my take on it |

In general I think if a mail receives no reply it's best not to mail again regardless of whether it's been deleted or not.
Having said that some women apparently receive hundreds of messages and an individual one might get read and forgotten.

Could well be the wrong time. With us everybody is an automatic no, because we have our regulars. Catch us during a dry spell and we may look at someone that we had previously not noticed. Also remember it's not the person that is being rejected, just the profile and message. Again there are probably many that we haven't noticed, but might notice if they did donething different.

Good etiquette suggests not to hound people with multiple messages for many reasons. As a post further up suggested if someone was interested then they would reply pretty soon. |

I have several mails that I have sent, been read but not replied.
I just leave them sat in my sent box until such time they are deleted.
Those that are deleted, get deleted.
Those that get replied to will probably get deleted unless I keep them as a reminder.
But no, I don't endlessly email 'just in case'. All the time it's sat there undeleted, maybe, just maybe.... |

I’ve always treated it like applying for a job.... a good CV and a nice covering letter. You get a real diamond every now and again, so well worth the effort.
The spontaneous replies are really nice |

We are not always together when we read mail. Sometimes one or the other want to show/ look at profile between us before replying.
Just yeaterday we had a nail from a couple. A little on the young side for us but stunning female. So after discussion we have agreed to chat with them. (We dont do mail ping pong). We now have to go back and reply. Sometimes this can take a while as life can get in the way. |

Personally if I don't respond I'm not interested, I used to give in to people pleasing and if they mailed again explain why...
Now - first mail - delete 2nd block
I think the 'if you don't get a response = a no thanks" understanding there's meant to be on here needs to be made clearer when people register as it's mainly newbies that do this |

After a few weeks could try sending another message with a different approach first message might not of caught there attention...ppl sending same message every few days definitely don't do themselves any favours because you know they are just copying and pasting paying little attention to who they are messaging |
