Ok, i've got a hairy back, which i don't like, and over the last 10 months or so have been trying a couple of different hair removal techniques. My skin reacted badly to waxing so no more of that, and i've tried epilating it. That was the more successful method i've tried but it still grows back pretty quickly, just as thick (despite my better half assuring me it wouldn't!) and is bloody painful! (Much to the better half's undisguised glee...)
So gents, what methods do you use to get rid of your unsightly back hair?
Ladies, does it bother you at all? Are you turned off or just indifferent?

Life is too short for all that! Especially with winter coming, we've got our own hairy underlayer but I'd make a bear feel naked and have so much that if I started removing it I'd have to get rid of all the hair on my body as I'd have definite start/stop lines
But if it really bothers you (sod everyone else) then laser may help lessen it and keep it away, you may be lucky and only need to redo after quite a while to keep on top of it. The only permanent way to remove it is electrolysis but, trust me on this as I had to have it done on my arm, it will take forever to do all the hair! |

"It doesn't bother me in the slightest.
But if you want, I'll come at you with a pair of tweezers and pull 'em out one by one!
"
Oof, death by a million hair plucks. You're a bigger sadist than the wife!

"Have you tried hair clippers without an attachment? You (well someone, you wouldn't be able to reach lol) might need to run them over every couple of days but they do the job."
Hmmm, that could be a goer. The wife would never do it every couple of days though. However, once a week might be feasible. Ta

"Have you thought of trying laser hair removal at a beauty salon.
It is expensive, but really works.
"
I'll look into it. I'm not THAT bothered by it though, it's mildly annoying more than anything so if it's too dear then i wouldn't be too distraught about not getting it done. Cheers

Hmmm, sounds like a whole to-do. But thanks |

Go back to waxing but experiment with different types of wax. Hairy backs are awful and a huge turn off. A good therapist will work with you and find a waxing formula and technique that doesn't fuck your skin. |

Brutal but most informative! Thanks, i'll look into it. If it wasn't for the bad reaction waxing would have been my preferred method so definitely worth investigating further. I suppose being a bloke i assumed the wax for hair removal was all the same kind.

I used to assume the same until i started getting my arse done too and the first one made it look like a childrens join-the-dots game. There's hot wax, cold wax, strips, stuff that they peel off my hand -different horses for different courses |

Mr has a couple patches on his lower back and we bought an epilator
First few times hurt like a bitch but now there’s hardly any hair that grows and comes out easier
If you are man enough to take it the results are great and pretty low cost |

I get mine waxed, 15 mins of pain for 30 secs of soothing lotion applied at the end.
I did use veet once on my chest and stomach, it works well but made me look like a plucked turkey! So never again lol.
I get waxed 2/3 times a year but stay hairy during the winter for extra warmth. |

I veet mine every now and then, yes it grows back but it's manageable, stiff can be found cheaply too.
Unless you want to spend £££'s getting lazer it's a good option |

Have you tried hair removal cream? You can get some suitable for sensitive skin if you have a tendency to react, but do a patch test to see how your skin reacts before your slap it on all over.
Personally, I like hair on men, it's very masculine and sexy. If it starts to reach gorilla-esque proportions, then I'd prefer a little trim here and there.
At the end of the day, the most important thing is how YOU feel about it. If there's something you don't like about your appearance, then you're not going to feel sexy and attractive, and that might affect how you come across when you're with other people.

I like hairy men, so it doesn't bother me to see men with hairy backs.
My son uses Nair for his back. I apply it for him and go over any missed hairs with a razor, after he's rinsed it off.
It works quite well. |

I just shave it regularly. Not to please those that prefer the young boy smooth bods but because it irritates me.
As long as you are doing it for yourself then that's cool.
In my opinion anyway |

I agree with this. You're never going to please everyone so you might as well please yourself. |

Agreed.
I never cared about being hairy but hated the back hairs. Although I must say I've become attached to the smooth chest recently |

Not bothered at all. I find hairy men way more attractive and am way more horny as a result. |

Absolutely the only way to start getting rid of body hair is too consistently get it waxed. Every single time it’s long enough get it waxed again.
The hair WILL start to die off and the pain gets less and less, but you must keep getting it waxed off.
I started getting my entire upper body waxed years ago and now I go every 4 weeks and it takes 30 mins to do the lot.
Hair just gives up and comes out with the wax no problem at all, plus the hair is really fine now.
Just keep persisting and it will start dying off, and don’t ever shave it.
I’m six months you will start to notice a real difference.
Believe me I tried everything else beforehand and nothing worked at all.
