More adventurous & uninhibited with age

Question for all you 40plusers...of which i am one. Have you become more openminded with age.
I have for sure less worried about things and accepting of things are the way they are. I have been seeing a couple on here for 3 years....a regular lover kind of thing.... this has developed in to mind blowing fun which is very uninhibited and open.
But looking back....i am.not sure i would be this way 10 years ago....
Thoughts on a poatcard please not social media...which is showing my age

This is the best age to be.... Throw caution to the wind and enjoy every single thing that comes into your mind.... Life is for living, having fun and exploring all of those things you have wanted to try but never dared. Push the boundaries and experiment... What's the worst that could happen?? |

Had my mid life crisis at 40 or so. Was never a shy person with regards to sex. But any last bit of inibition lurking dissappeared when I was born again. Explored a lot since that time. |

For me its definitely true that in certain respects I've become more adventurous and uninhibited with age, we both have, sexually.
In certain other respects I'd say I've become less adventurous. I wouldn't dream of doing a parachute jump for instance but when I was younger I would have and I wouldn't even consider wearing yellow eyeshadow nowadays  |

When I was younger I was quite a jealous person, however with age I have grown wiser and lost the jealousy streak and our inhibitions have lowered, life is not a rehearsal it's for living so now we enjoy life to the full  |

I've always been very open-minded and adventurous when it comes to sex, but as I've got older I've got more confident in respect of what I want sexually, and how I go about satisfying those desires. I also think that my children having grown up and needing less time from me, has a bearing on how much I focus on my own wants and needs. I'll be 50 next year, and I'm very much of the 'bring it on' attitude. I'm in a good place, and rediscovering what I enjoy doing for myself, not just for my family. In the last few years I've started mountain biking and running, and have a to-do list full of adventures I want to have and things I want to try.
My philosophy is 'grab life by the throat and shake the living daylights out of it!'

Save the odd one or two which I forget, the women I have met have all been pretty balls out wild (pun). I don't think it's anything to do with their age more to do with their attitude to sex, sites they're on and how you treat them in general maybe (have a relaxed attitude or willing to new things)? |

Hitting 50 was life changing..... In the very best possible way. Inhibition is out of the window. I adore sex and love exploring things I used to holdback on a few years ago for no reason other than embarrassment .... Now however apparently the things I was concerned about are very erotic... Who knew?!  |

I think as you age you inevitably become more aware of both your mortality and your general health. It becomes more and more frustrating when your body doesn't always quite work the way you want it to and/or hurts doing the simplest things, and for me, as an almost 53 year old woman, I'm very aware that I'm going to get the menopause sooner rather than later - and am genuinely dreading it in case I'm one of the unlucky ones who's lumbered with a whole heap of debilitating symptoms.
From a sexual point of view, all those considerations suddenly bring into sharp focus that you may as well do your damnedest to try and lose your inhibitions and just go for whatever it is that floats your boat. When I was younger I had practically the same sexual mindset as I do now but would often be inhibited by feeling self conscious or worrying about what people thought of me - now I can see that was rather ridiculous when my body was in better shape then than it is now, so don't want to 'waste' any more time fretting too much about that, and an understanding gained through age and experience that there's nothing intrinsically 'wrong' with any expression of sexuality providing it's consensual and legal. I guess it's an urge to be as adventurous as you want to be while it's still physically possible! |

Quality over quantity every day of the week for me....as i regularly experience with the gorgeous gloria who posted earlier. She hits it on the head with life is short and you have to go for it.
Definitely had my tastes and needs changed over the last 3 years. Alot more relaxed and confident.... |

We have no inhibitions at our age we love what we do with couples and the odd single guy we have what we have and are not ashamed of showing and after a great evening with whoever just lying their naked all intertwined is a great feeling . |

Know just what you are saying. I have definitely become more daring, adventurous, open minded sexually, but have gone the other way in other respects. I did do parachuting in my 30s, loads of rock climbing etc, but the thought of extreme sports is definitely less appealing now, due in part to me being a bit of a scardeycat now where i never was previously. |

Have always been quite adventurous both sexually and otherwise. The advent of sites like Fab have made enjoying life's pleasures so much easier. I have probably had more fun in the last year than the 10 years before. I now work on the principle that this time might be my last so really go for it. You never know when the fun might dry up for whatever reason, (usually the wife spoiling things,lol), so I strongly recommend you treat each time as your last and go all out to enjoy every aspect of the experience. |
