Is it selfish to want someone to be verified?

Please don't hang me, but is it selfish for people to want members on here to be verified before meeting?
Surely they must of been in the situation in the first place? |

A lot of people choose to only meet verified members because they have been messed around by those who aren't verified. It's no guarantee but many assume you are less likely to have no shows.
Many new people like the idea of swinging but get cold feet when it comes to actually meeting.
There are those who will meet unverified, just keep on looking.
A good way to get verified is to go to an organised social. These are usually advertised in the meets and events forums.
Don't assume getting verified is a magic key to fab and everyone will want to meet you. You will still have to put in plenty of effort to attract others. As a man you are in a massive majority on here. |

OP unfortunately as time has progressed over the years this site has become more and more well known, which in turn increases the amount of fantasists and fakers signing up.
As a result of this people are wary about those who are new and have no verifications. Added to the complexity are hose who have been on the site for quite sometime and have none either.
Get photo verified, site support and chat with people (trust me when I say “hey” or “hey fancy a fuck now” is not the way to start a conversation here) |

However I do on occasion but they have to impress me in some way. I trust my gut. "

Can only go with my own cynicism but I assume all unverified 'women' are fake until proven otherwise. Even a single verification makes me suspicious -especially if account has been around for a while - as a veri'ed guy can easily set up a fake. Its a doddle to get verified so no reason why not to.
Maybe not such an issue with guys but it will show a track record of dependability. |

Not really, this site is chock full of timewasters and fake losers who seem to get off on some kind of thrill of lying about who they are.
Therefore its not really a surprise people want or expect verifications...especially considering even verified members can end up being fake/timewasters too sometimes.
Even as a single guy there is no excuse for not being verified. You have photo verification and every single modern laptop/phone has a front facing camera. And thats not even including the many free socials/swing clubs/adult cinemas you can attend and meet fellow Fabbers. |

Finding it really difficult as a new member at the minute.
I wish they would upgrade the chat so that you could show your face from your mobile.
I'm thinking a veri or two by webcam would be easier to achieve for me than a proper meet at the minute. That way it might make me a bit more appealing as being verified by other members as genuine. |

I love a good debate, some really good points. Personally I don't think it is selfish myself as I agree lots of males on here who waste people's time and also from a safety point of view. Definitely think it is a good idea to attend a social when one comes up. Just frustrating when I am a good guy!! |

We ask for verifications because we got let down so many times by guts we gave a chance to but didn't show or made lame excuses. At least if someone has veris then it shows to us that they donate least turn up for planned meets |

I’ve never understood why people would refuse to get a green flag? There’s no harm in having one and people send out the wrong signals when refusing to get one. That said, everything can be faked on here. But personally, we do like a flag. It builds confidence.

Its chicken and egg scenario, people want you to have veri to meet, but then you cant get a veri due this lol.
I joined previously in 2011 and had a great year of meets with over 10 diff cpls and fems,but then left and rejoined 6 months ago but all from 2011 no longer around, so although had meets in past no veris are meaning no play  |

Don't go mad with them either once you get one it will be a verification that you are who you say you are in your profile.
We have started looking at people's veri's now to see who they have met previously before deciding if they are for us.
It's a minefield and you can never please everyone.

Well looking up the definition of selfish you could maybe argue that yes it is. But it's up to people however they want to choose who they do and don't meet.  |

It's precisely for this reason that when I joined fab I would just be on the forums and perving, but not really messaging anyone. I took it upon myself to go to clubs on my own to get a veri, and only then began to reach out to people. Laborious process that has fortunately paid off well and has culminated in sexy friends, amazing meets and with the best, I believe, still to come  |

We are on Fab for our own selfish reasons. That doesn't mean we are selfish people, and we treat our Fab friends with the utmost respect and courtesy, putting thought into their needs as well as our own. However, we are selfish enough to regard a complete stranger who is unverified as not our problem.
