So were holding our wedding reception next year in xtasia . Some random just messeged and said thats so wrong because its not the done thing ?? All our freinds are on the scene and its already looking like a fantastic night so your thoughts ? Wrong or right xxx |

That's a very personal thing. A bit like pregnancy and swinging. Some people embrace and indulge in it and others prefer those times to be separate.
Personally I'm of the latter, but it's your day and you should spend it how you like.

My only reservation would be, while it's great for your friends, what about family? Great aunt Doris might feel a bit left out. Or maybe not! |

i assume you would be having one for close family and friends and one for others (non vanilla)

Start as you mean to go on, this seems much more appropriate for a swinging couple than a stuffy sit down do.

Well to be honest our situation is no parents or family around so run off to Gretna Green with our children and close freinds ...intimate wedding ceremony with 10 guests then when we get back reception party at Xtasia for all our friends on the scene ....just don't see why we have to get comments on how wrong this is ...there's no need for it we should be one big happy community and most are ....our day our wedding .....Thanks for your comments guys xxx |

What I don't understand though is how people disagree with something and called trolls...they are just disagreeing , can you imagine sat in company and calling a friend a troll because they don't like to watch Strictly on a Saturday night |

Not that I can say they've moaned, but as someone who seems to use the forums a lot then you'd be sure to know that a lot of people do posts asking for opinions and then don't like it when it goes against their own 
No one has said its wrong on this post, only that it's not something they would do, the only thing they weren't happy with was someone messaging them stating their opinion, that is what they complained about. |

I think some people are taking g this the wrong way ...it is more the fact why someone went out their way to message us to say it's wrong ....not people's opinions on here ....everyone has a right to their opinion ..it was the initial message we got that we thought was wrong .....and it isn't an attention seeking thread ....we don't need a thread to seek attention ....just simply asking others views ...Mrs sp here now putting my thoughts in xxx |

Totally agree with what others have said. Your wedding day is such a special day. You should have the freedom to plan it how you want to.
If people don't like it, they don't have to come (sorry, bad pun).
