Not sure if this is the best forum for this but if a picture is posted here with faces partially obscured, for example, would a reverse search for that image possibly pick up other full unedited versions of that image if these had also been posted elsewhere? |

Good question... give it a test?
my guess is no if the pic is suitably modified from the original... tech probably looks at pixel maps and compares (or summat or not lol) |

So its actually YES
Good wiki page on it...
It looks at image content and so blurring a face may not work.... depends if the face is large in the pic I guess.
Seems pretty clever |

Thanks guys. So the moral of the story is that if you don't want people to find out who you are, be very careful what pictures (adult or otherwise) you post and share on sites like this. Even if they've been edited, it may still be possible to trace them back to the original if that image has been posted on social media for example. |

Click on search and then new women. If you reverse image search the photos on the few that already posted some, the odd one comes up as a porn star or model etc.. and many are cropped portions of the main copy and pasted original. |

Yes...100%...simple answer is if you post a pic on here don't post it anywhere else. Periodical reverse image seaching is also good for checking that your pics havent been copied. |

I was contacted by a guy who sent me a picture. I checked him on Google search and found his facebook page and Linked-In page. .
I told him. The moral is... only use Fab photos for Fab and never publish them elsewhere. |

"Is it an app you need to use or just an easy attach a pic?
I've always wondered how it works!"
I googled it, and can do it off safari on my phone, it's very handy. |

There and to the left a bit |

If you're using Chrome as your Web browser on a tablet/phone just press and hold on the picture until a pop up appears with several options, one of which is Google Image Search - select that and it searches Google for other instances of the pic out there |

I think loads of people just don't realise that they can be easily identified from images they've edited their faces from. Once identified they can then be associated with any adult sites they've posted other racier images on. The consequences could be highly embarrassing or ever worse.
It's common to see innocent holiday pictures etc. posted on swinging sites (with or without faces shown) which no doubt appear unedited all over social media and could easily be traced back.
Why would anyone do that though we may ask? Because they can! The same reason people become trolls and decide to dedicate their sad lives to ruining other people's.
Disguising faces in images isn't any guarantee of anonymity so anyone who values their privacy needs to be very careful what images they post/share via adult sites.
