Hi I want to know any hotel near Walsall , Birmingham, Wolverhampton has parking free and allows you to smoke in row. Any one know any hotels

Not sure smoking in a hotel room is a good look but there is Hotel Campanile in Aston...its got free parking and is pretty cheap. Not the best hotel in the worst, bathroom was a grotty but its affordably priced. |

All posts are incorrect, the legal side is that the hotel can put signs up and request you don't smoke at all,
If you are given the room for free then it's a enforceable condition you don't smoke
If you have paid for the room then you are legally free to smoke within the four walls only and you have paid into a contract with the hotel,
What you do in your from is your business with in good reason,
If you ask at reception before hand they can refuse ,
But once paid , they can you you to stop but unlikely they will or ask you to transfere where they allow smokers or pets |

Most hotels charge a cleaning fee if you smoke in their rooms... so if you don't mind paying £150 surcharge, it's possible.

Talking twaddle. The ban states you can't smoke in public buildings (and in some cases grounds such as hospitals) or on Scotland within 100 feet of the entrance. Hotel bedrooms are almost always non smoking unless otherwise stated. They have to stipulate and designate specific smoking rooms if they want to allow you to smoke. Best bet is to call and ask if they have such rooms (very rare these days ). Otherwise you at likely to get fined by the hotel. The smell is disgusting, the room takes weeks to become fresh again and the next guest always complains and asks to move. Selfish to smoke in a non smoking bedroom so don't do it. One final point is that quite a few hotel fire detectors are very sensative. Vaping and smoke usually trigger them. If you set the alarm off you are likely to endanger others and again be reported. Enjoy your fags at home and in pvt bedrooms.. You have been warned!

No hotels in Britain now officially allow smoking in rooms as its banned, a few smaller hotels,b&b's have Been caught allowing it and had big fines for it- so I imagine it may be hard to find what your looking for |

Try Holiday Inn Express, they may still allow it.
I had a problem with them 3 or 4 yrs ago where I was stuck with a smoking room.
If you google the smoking ban you will see hotel rooms are an exemption, dont know why

My understanding is that when you rent a hotel room it becomes your home for the night which is why it is not illegal to smoke in it. However the hotel can set their own rules and so most hotel rooms are non smoking. |
