Is it just me or is it rude when you send a message just to have it deleted with not even a sorry but no. Especially when they have looked at your profile multiple times over a few weeks |

You may take it personally as rude but it us acceptable under FAB rules..
As for unread..
Maybe get didn't like the preview.or read it and marked it as unread to come back to (Then you got deleted I a mass inbox clear up)
Who knows!
But don't focus on that just move on...
Oh and the best tip...
Send your messages then delete all your sent - that way you have no way to "check " if it's read or not.... |

We aren't looking for single guys, it says so on our profile but we still get messages. It would easy to instantly delete but we will still read them. Obviously those that read 'how ya doin ' do get deleted with no reply but if someone has taken the trouble to write a considered message that is courteous and inoffensive then we'll show similar courtesy with a reply, even if it a reminder that we're not really looking for single guys. |

I delete messages without reading them because sometimes from that first line I can tell they havent read my profile.
I used to reply with polite declines but got sick of the abuse thrown back at me so stopped doing that |

Is an inbox full of written rejection so important to you?
If so on behalf of all women you have messaged past, present and future... no thanks
There you go
By the way.. when you get junk mail through your letterbox.. do you contact each company to say no thanks? |

"OP you only replied to one person in this thread. To not be rude, you should reply to all the posters, surely?" this and read FAQ section which clearly states no response no interest it's not considered rude at all

This
Advice to any newbie would be:
1. Delete messages as soon as you send them
2. Never take Fab personally
3. If you don't like rejection think twice before clicking send |

Not having a go at the op specifically but...
Is it just me that cringes in this situation? Why not just go direct and send a pm? Is the profile now hidden due to the (I'm guessing) sharp spike in attention that the respondent is probably receiving now?
Or maybe I'm just over thinking this? |

"most messages that get deleted without reply is because the sender has completely ignored or not read the recipients profile, yet messaged anyway. "
Purely an anecdotal answer. How can you possibly know this without the figures?
Any I've had deleted after I've sent them have been to local women who have shown interest first with either a 'hi' message or at least a wink (and are looking for men, I'd know because I read profiles) only to delete a polite well written message without dick pics - as they should be.
Yes I understand fully why people do this when the message is rude or profile ignored, but to say this is the reason is wrong. In some cases (not all, not even most) it's time wasting & rudeness to move on from.
There are more case scenarios to consider here |
