I found it rather nice actually. Only used a thin gauge but got it down and every movement is tingly. Just got to get past the fear of the unknown. Will work up and eventually get someone else to do it to me but I definitely like it and recommend it

So probably best I start with a thin gauge first and see what I can take? I imagine the eye will widen/stretch if I do it frequently enough and move gradually to large gauges. |

Yup, just start small and work up. You can get sets reasonabky cheap. Just invest in a good cleaning fluid for sex toys  |

I had to have my appendix out last year and afterwards when I was in the ward I kept trying to piss and I couldn't in the end they stuck a catheter up my nob end and although it was an instant relief it was one of the most unpleasant things I'd ever had and taking it out was even worse!
So for me the thought of sticking anything up there is on my list of things I never want to experience if I don't have to  |

We watched another couple do it on a meet and it was amazing to see. Have done it to each other since and it's a bit scary but very hot. Requires a lot of trust so not something I'd let someone do to me at a first meet. |

If you buy a set you get double ended sounds that increases in size by a half a millimetre. I inserted a 5.5mm into a sub who brought her own. It did nothing for me! You can but urethral stretchers that you fit into the Japs eye then turn a screw to stretch it. Looking at it made my eyes water |

I find sounding very enjoyable using a 8mm ribbed sound. Take it slow, don’t force it and the weight of the sound will do the rest.
Hygiene is hugely important and it’s an absolute must to use sterile lube and lots off it. Use a lube applicator to squirt some down your cock and then lube the sound.

I would advise doing plenty of reading up on it.
Personally I would suggest starting with a modest gauge sound made from stainless steel. Too thin sounds significantly increase the risk of puncturing the urethra. Plated sounds can become dangerous as the plating can start to lift leaving sharp edges. Silicone sounds work well but when I was first trying this out I found the weight of metal ones helped with control.
Generally your looking to keep everything as near sterile as possible with sounding. Personally I opt for cleaning everything with anti-bacterial soap and then directly before use wiping everything down with single use, medical iso-propanol wipes. I also uses single use lube satchets but I realise other people have wildly different views on the precautions required.
The sensations from sounding can be strange, intense but also incredibly pleasurable. There can also be quiet a psychological aspect to this of your letting a partner do it to you as it requires a lot of care and trust. |
