this all depends on your experience of both.
Of course you'll need a hefty budget either way and each come with different care needs.
Rubber is lovely but needs to be washed after every wear and stored properly.
Not got any Leather yet.
There are plenty of fetish markets where you could get an idea and see some Rubber / Leather on sale etc
There's a fetish Market in Birmingham tomorrow for example.

I suppose it depends on where you want to wear it. Leather is the obvious choice to wear out in public,in the street,pub,resturant etc. If its to play in at home or in a club then rubber for me is a big turn on, on women & men. I've not got any rubber but have got quite a lot of leathers,all bought at charity shops,so not too expensive.

Thanks M n J..... may have to look into one of the "Special" markets and have a good look.
At the moment Rubber could be edging forward.
