Maybe because a sapiosexual is turned on by intelligence rather than being turned on by someone else turned on by sapiosexuality?
For example, I have a tendency when it comes to men for a slightly dishevelled looking type visually but if someone else is turned on by that then I very much doubt they would be turned on by me since I am dishevelled but not a man. |

I understand what you are getting at but not sure I completely agree, if I see sapiophile on a profile, I assume a love of books. poetry. philosophy, art etc and that they love discussing this...
But at the same time I assume its a 'delusional frame of mind.' Give me humility and creativity every time |

At the risk of adding the merest hint of cynicism to the thread...
Those who describe themselves as saiposexual are probably those who are least qualified to judge.
Or if I want to be really cynical those who are attracted to intelligence perhaps are seeking something they lack...
Or maybe they have just latched on to concept of the week in the hope they may get laid..
