Mr Classy is buying me a Hotwife anklet for my birthday, and I will wear it for certain scenarios. Being a bit of an exhibitionist I prefer the anklets that sport the whole word 'Hotwife' (if I'm going to flaunt myself as a Hotwife in public I may as well be totally obvious?). Or should I be more subtle and go for just 'HW'. The problem with the latter is that not everybody will know what it means, and some will assume it's just my initials. But one the other hand, the whole word seems to be harder to find and perhaps that's just too in your face. What do otherd think for an anklet? 'Hotwife' or 'HW'?

My anklet has been commented on a couple of times when I have been at the bar getting drinks but on both occasions timing and situation was bad so never followed anything through |

We have been swinging on and off since 2003 and never picked up/realised this anklet thing 
Is it a known code...something people look for? Any anklet or does it have to be more specific (to avoid mistakes)? |

I'm always looking down at ladies feet and certainly notice ankle bracelets. I have a foot fetish so find foot jewellery very sexy.
I would pick up in the 'HW' and if I'm the right environment would make comment to it  |

I would say with your user name the HW would be more in keeping than the full word.
If you wanted something more likely to get an approach you could consider the S!#t word (meant with respect not as a negative) although this word is disliked by many and would lead to some negative issues in public |

I would say to go for the one you feel most comfortable with. From a personal point of view I think one stating hotwife, spelt out in full, would be very sexy. |

I did!
I was on the tram home on bank holiday Monday when this couple got on. He was staggering d*unk and she was looking after him.
She kept making eye contact and flashed her ankle bracelet. I was going to say hi, but some chavvy youths got on so it killed the moment. |

I have one tattooed on my ankle. Hubby bought me one and I lost it quite quickly, it was really pretty and I was pretty upset when it went.
I'd love one with 'Hotwife' for the right occasion. I might start dropping some hints for my birthday! |

Ok so for those who wear their anklet in an ordinary bar, or maybe the bar of a hotel, what sort of attention is received? Is it just men looking? or do guys really make passes? I wouldn't necessarily want the latter as our agenda would be quite specific. But I like the idea of everybody knowing what I am. |

I have worn mine ( H W ) everywhere from Mallorca to Tesco and find lots of guys recognise the meaning. I've been winked at had guys lick their lips and come chat to me in a couple of bars. Unfortunately no one ever seems to have anywhere to go |

We're off to Gran Canaria in a few weeks and there to play, lots! So have an anklet for as soon as we land! So a question for the ladies wearing them. A guy notices, perhaps isn't close enough to read specific letters on it, catches your eye or alerts you that he's noticed, how do you give a signal back that he's interpreted the situation correctly and that you'd like him to progress things?  |

Rose wears an anklet quite a lot of the time. She has one which has a metal strip with 'swinger' engraved on it, which she wears for meets, on beaches and when we're on overseas holidays, and yes, it has worked. |

I could be being naive but I'm pretty certain that most people wouldn't know what Hotwife means, let alone HW. They'd probably notice it and dismiss it
Seeing someone confident enough to wear the full word (and me knowing what it means) would definitely get a 'hello' |

Hi all. Thanks for the feedback. Mr Classy has bought me the anklet. We went for the full word so quite obvious. He will put on me when I go for a lone date (first overnighter) in a few weeks. I then plan to wear it again when Mr and I go to a big party the following week. Watch this space.....

Personally I'd say HW is subtle and more "if you know you know" whereas Hotwife will attract more attention when noticed.

Suggestions of subtle hint of a sign?
I bought the wife a anklet it just silver has hearts only on it at the moment she likes it and will wear it now and then also on holiday.
But we need a discreet message so that if she doesn't want the attention or doesn't like the guy chatting her up she can give a vanilla response.
But also if she does want the attention or the guy is hot she can
give another explanation perhaps?

I would guess it's how obvious it is displayed? Not many people look down as a rule. The same as very few notice anything above their heads. If you were sat down, cross legged, with the anklet showing then that would be more obvious. Just walking down the street I'd be surprised if anyone noticed. But at clubs and socials then it would be more noticeable, because people would know what to look for.
On the Pandora issue, I once bought the female of a couple a bracelet and the number '3' charm for her birthday or Christmas, can't remember which. I was then asked the significance of said '3' by the assistant. Can't remember what I said but it wasn't the true significance. Funnily enough that was in the chi branch. |
