You don't have to limit that search to someone with hearing difficulties necessarily. For instance, my partner can still partially sign, due to previous work with the RNID etc. You'd probably be suprised how many have potentially had some exposure to signing due to one reason or another..

Does Makaton count? If so then both of us do. Every teacher in our son's old school had to learn it too and all the kids are taught it from nursery...Our son's legacy from starting his life non verbal. Can't shut the fucker up these days though. |
