How to spot a fake here on fab.

2/3 or more of the following strikes then avoid maybe......
No pictures
No verifications
No meets.
Too many male pics.
Doesn't look at your profile
Won't give number or call.
Female on profile never available.
Web cam getting them to wave and move to show its not a video. And getting them to chat on the phone to see if a man or a woman.
I'm sure there's more but 2/ 3 of these you should be suspicious.
Can you add others please ... So it may help some out here and spot the fakes. |

No recent pictures (anything older than a year makes me suspicious - and also concerned about them looking remotely like their pics anymore)
All one sided - all female (unless it's a profile where only one of them meets)
Asking for lots of pictures sharing in first few messages |

Well I'm not fake. I'm not meeting at the moment but I'm not fake but no way on this earth would I go on webcam or phone to proove who I am if I was meeting. I never post meets. I look at profiles in stealth mode. I won't give out my number and my pics are friends only  |

As a "returning" long term fabster, id agree with most of the OP's points, but would add which comes first "chicken of the egg"
One of my biggest "tests" (to male or females) is asking them to meet socially first, if they refuse, they have something to hide ..........well in my opinion  |

We don't think or worry about fakes. We tend to deviate towards profiles that are well written and are well verified, and a general suggestion that they are experienced on the swing scene. Then if the conversation flows thats all good. Mobile numbers are exchanged, there might be a phone chat. We haven't got it wrong yet. Most of the people we have met probably know someone we know, or at least verified by one degree of removal.

We don't meet socially first as our play time is very limited.
Nothing to hide here either.

I don't now show all of ours as had this woman mail all our meet saying she new us ... It stopped it. |

We always reverse picture on Google. A new account appeared, allegedly a single female. The picture appeared on 2 other sites. We sent a message to say they were fake.
They sent us a message and blocked us, amazing how someone new knew how to do all this !!
Obviously we can't blab the name, fakes are protected. |

Depends on the gender, surely? Plenty of genuine single males won't get a meet or verification within a year.
Very suspicious for a female though. There are several in my area with no pics or veris, but they still log on regularly.

Either no pics at all, or pics of an impossibly beautiful woman,
One veri, from a male, hidden.
These usually (but not always) indicate a bloke pretending to be a woman. |
