Would you find it offensive, and not want to play with someone who referred to you as a "spade"?

No I wouldn't like if someone referred to me as a "spade".

So yeah I would be offended. Same way if someone called me the N word during sex.

unfortunately some guys(black) might be oblivious to this terminology...and as one belonging to the black group of men, I have seen myself quickly lose interest in couples who(the male half predominately), want their men to act like performing seals. the fact of the matter is they dont want to know me, they dont want to know if I'm charming, intelligent or a sweet heart... I'am JUST a cock to them...and be it black.

I've been in a few parties where a group of black guys have been invited...the ones that have showed up only come when the sex might have already started and will leave when its ended... yeah that might be some peoples thing which is fine of course.

However I believe they are also the ones that will perpetuate these myths about an entire race - and yes..if fucks me off at times.

Is this like in relation to "queen of spades" tattoo?

Are you going down the QofS route with this, op?

For the record, I (he) wouldn't be happy being referred to as a spade as in 'hey, seen that spade over there'. I don't get offended by the QofS tattoo some display around here in the swinging context.

I think it depends. Not actually the same but I once meet a married couple (white guy and a chinese/english wife) and had a really good chat beforehand. We all got one and as I was having fun with the wife, she asked me to call her an 'Asian Slut' as i fucked her.

I think it turned them both on, but did seem strange and degrading at first. But was their personal kink. so not sure??????

What a bizzare question. So as a white fourty something female, not once has it ever occurred to me to use or even think about these words in such a way. Not as a child and certainly not now, no matter what other parts of society culture e.g., rap music feel is acceptable. I don't.

As others have asked, it's in relation to people getting Queen of Spades tattoos. I posited that perhaps some black men might not like being referred to as a "spade" but they were confident that all black men were fine with it. Personally I find it unlikely that an entire race of people have ever agreed on anything.

I would imagine it would be very offensive.....

I myself enjoy labels such as hotwife cuck bull sub dom etc etc....but only if the people whose company I am in enjoy those words too.

But N' or Spade or similar, I wouldn't imagine that it is acceptable to use ....we are all human ...skin colour shouldn't be used in anything verbal other than to compliment someone ....

Just my thoughts on it..

QofS = queen of staffs in Tarot. That might be less "insulting" but possibly less recognisable.

I'm curious, whats the historical context in it being the Queen of Spades chosen instead of say the Queen of Clubs?

Oops i made an error re tarot. Wands (not staffs, although they are) are equivalent to clubs. So I'd have to agree, phallically it's queen of wands = queen of clubs. Which would indicate QofS has a dodgy historical context, no?

Spade is a derogatory term for a black person, so someone with a Queen of Spades tattoo is stating they are partial to black men.

Not being a black man I can't answer the OP, but I would think that a woman with a tattoo that infers a derogatory term would be more likely to put off the person they were hoping to attract, but the swinging world is a bit odd.

Well a "spade" is a derogatory term for a black person. So "Queen of spades" is Queen of the black people, and supposedly shows a preference for black men. Clubs and diamonds have no such connotations, and hearts aren't specific to race.

I wonder if anyone thinks that a King of Spades tattoo would help attract black women?

hmm so if I'm not mistaken this can possibly mean one of two things. Either people are incredibly naive when it comes to this tattoo or they just don't give a damn about its context.

to be honest its a symbol thats arisen from something not very nice...thats the end of it...I doubt anyone walking around with the tattoo calls any of their meets 'spades'...

I genuinely only realised one of my tattoos is a Queen of spades a couple of weeks ago when a QoS thread popped up

I can understanding guys being ok with it since it makes getting meets with certain people a whole lot easier.

Can also completely understand that spade isn't a cool name to be calling anyone black or not

"Would you find it offensive, and not want to play with someone who referred to you as a "spade"? "

Interesting responses so far.

I wouldn't be keen on anyone who called me a 'spade', but not against race 'play' during sex. I have no problems with either 'queen of spades' or 'bbc' though I don't really use these terms myself. Sexuality isn't always this mental 'thing' and many of us have kinks etc and express themselves in their desires. And sometimes, I wonder if many of use in the forums actually consider how people actually behave rather than how we wish they did or how we believe they should.

So, 'spade' no, 'queen of spades' yes-I understand if I am not sounding consistent, but there it is!

I suppose the flip side is actually a reversal of the origin of the word(Spade I believe is a slave), the woman brands herself for the spade- effectively marking herself for black men.

Does seem offensive to use such a word, just like it is not nice to refer to anyone overweight as fat.yet its ok for people to make us vertically challenged individuals feel bad about our height.lol

You didn't mention tattoos in your OP. And we contributed to the other thread recently on QOS tats. He's offended and I find tats unclassy anyway.

Thought that's not what you actually asked ...
