...is this right? I'm sure private parties count too, but if two people just meet up is that still classed as swinging? I'm new in the scene so genuinely don't know if you separate the definitions... |

Every person on here has their own definitions of swinging. I have mine, but last time I expounded on it I offended someone so won't be saying it on here now.
Having said that, I don't think you can only call yourself a swinger if you go to clubs, or parties, or chuck your car keys in a bowl, or you go dogging, or any number of activities that are part of a sexually free lifestyle. As long as you're having fun, who cares? |

People will soon start talking about labels blah de blah.
For me, I don't think clubs is a necessity to be a 'swinger', but some form of group play or swapping (if couples) would get close to what swinging is, I suppose.
Obviously there are loads of singles on here. Some might only want 1:1 private meets. Others will want to play at clubs and parties or with couples. |

Although we suppose that 'swinging' is essentially couples swapping partners, our belief is that it's more of a mindset that allows for 'sexual sharing' between consenting adults, regardless of their relationship status. |

I don't hold much with the "you're only a proper swinger if a, b, c, etc" and it slightly rankles when I see it.
On the subject of clubs however, one thing I will always say is that if you are interested in exploring the many and varied aspects of the funny little world we find ourselves in on here, it's a darn sight simpler to interact and connect with real people face to face than from behind a keyboard. |

I'd fully agree with this, although I do appreciate that going to a club for the first time can be a bit daunting.

Yes very good point. I think you may be on to something. Although I don't quite agree that you need to be part of a couple to be a swinger. I do agree that the sharing mindset is key.
If ones thoughts and instincts lean too far into the realms of jealousy and possessiveness, I wouldn't class that person as a swinger. Not necessarily a bad thing. Its simply a case that swinging just isn't for that person/couple. |

There are so many variations on what folk consider a "swinger" that simply none matter.
Are you a couple, who love playing together and enjoy joining other couples= swinger.
Are you a couple who only play with singles = swinger
Are you single, but love joining others for group fun = swinger
Are you a single, but only seek other singles for no strings fun, but enjoy the scene = swinger
Are you any of the above, but cant understand how a couple can watch eachother have fun and share their sex live, yet still love eachother = you are probably in wrong place.
Are you a judgmental twat who thinks couples only swing as guy cant satisfy his wife and no fucking way would you ever share yours (if you had one) = you probably missed the whole point and miss clicked on site.
Clubs, parties, meets.. all are fun, but its your attitude and mind that makes you a swinger. |
