Forgive my ignorance but what's the story with Ninja mode. I'm asking because I just looked at a profile and found out they winked 4 days ago but I never got it, as well,I've been fabbed by people who apparently haven't looked at me, and final question I promise ??, are many people using ninja mode, I'm fairly new so that's the reason for my ignorance, thanks |

I've only just learnt what ninja mode is.
It's in your privacy settings and you can prevent people knowing you've looked at them. I guess it stops unwanted communications as people reckon just because you know they looked at your profile they're up for a week long fuck fest and don't want to have that level of commitment just yet.

Ninja mode is a really good way to spy on people's profiles and not get caught doing it. Personally, I will look at a lot of profiles on the forums or people who have messaged and I want to get a feel for that person, before I decide if I'm interested. When I was out of stealth mode, I'd get so many messages thanking me for looking at their profile and assuming I was interested, when really I was just being nosey. I find ninja mode best |

Ninja mode is great, for so many reasons. I use it primarily to look at a profile from someone who has messaged me and it's also useful for some secret peerving... Sorry research ! |

I use it almost all the time now. As others have said, it's a way of snooping without expressing an interest. I try to remember to switch it off and openly look before sending a message though, as I know from experience that receiving a message from someone who "hasn't even looked at my profile" looks odd.
I've also taken to hiding my profile quite often. I live out in the middle of nowhere and I'd like to find someone local, and I also tend to be rather picky. So it isn't often that a newcomer pops up in my area who interests me, and I don't really see much point in being visible in the meantime. Again I try to remember to "decloak" before messaging, though I think people who I've messaged can see me unless I've blocked them IIRC.

no, they can't. If you've hidden your profile and wink, message or fab a picture, they can't see the profile of the person who's done it. Instant delete from us, we always check a profile before we open a message from anyone... |

OK, thanks for the info, must check that I'm fully decloaked before messaging!
I usually wait for awhile, then send out messages to 2 or 3 people, then remain visible for a fortnight or so while awaiting replies, before disappearing again.

just go to your account...look right near bottom of list on the left, go into 'privacy'..and there are several options...one is the 'who's looked at me'..you can hide it from there.. |
