Hello all,
Love the site, but particularly love the forum section.....A hidden jem to us until recently.
But whats the etiquette regarding winking? Is it like catching someones eye and a smile in the real world, or is it the devils tool, designed for players of the numbers game?
Did a quick search and the posts on it were about a year ago with a mixed response.
If it turns out to be the latter........... sorry, we're new.

Some people hate them, some people ignore them. Personally we wink at people that have looked at us and we like the look of, beyond that we'd rather put the effort in and send a message. |

like most of swinging there is no etiquette, just what works for you.We ignore them, if ppl cant be bothered to send a message we are not interested. However others see it differently.
Go with what u feel is right. |

We take a wink as someone is interested.
If we like the profile we will wink back.
If not delete.
We sometimes wink other couples who we think may be our cup of tea, if they respond, they do, if not. Nothing lost or gained.
What gets us is the ones who continue to wink every other day or so. Opps sorry didn't reply to the first wink ( ok we could have missed that one) but why will we reply to the next 10 you send!
Almost as bad as facebook pokes |

You remember back in the day when we used to lug home holiday brochures before doing everything online. Well I used to look through and turn down the page of the hotels I was interested in, and then I'd go through more thoroughly looking at location in resort, sea _iew, flight times etc and eventually go to the travel agents with a list in hand to book.
Well the initial turning down the page bit is how I use the wink system, its a friendly hello I like you kind of thing |

Thanks for the replies guys, although we are totally lost now . It seems that if you are particularly interested then a message would be the safest and best bet, just in case the person / people in question are in the ban winking camp?
