Shibari or Kinbaku curiosity

Please share your experiences of Shibari or Kinbaku? Are there any experts on the forums? If so, what's the best bit about doing it or having it done to you?
We reserve the right to use the eye rolling emoji for the inevitable people who don't know what it is and can't be bothered to google it. |

Ha! The number of people who asked me when I had it on my profile! It is something I am interested in but never had the pleasure of experiencing unfortunately. |

I read about it on Quora but can't tell if it's always painful or not... |

I always wondered who writes those Christmas cracker jokes. Have you tried it? |

We both love the artistry of shibari and kinbaku. I probably like the tieing more than Peach but only because she impatient? for the beating she usually gets after. She does get off on the feel of the rope running over her skin. I use Google to research ties and we practice as often as we can although not as we want
Looking into shibari events and classes for the future and getting the basics down in the mean time.

"We'd love to have this as part of our 'repotoire', just don't know who'd teach Mr though or even go about seeking the advice. "
I'd love to help...but sadly I'd need to teach myself before I could teach mr |

Just the actual act of tieing and making intricate patterns and neat knots. I find it cathartic like when I weave string bracelets, or when I used to plait my daughter's hair. Just tieing up a sexy bod is arousing as well as relaxing.

Google is an amazing research tool. Then it's down to practice.

I tie though more western than pure shibari.
For me the pleasure is in the technical challenge of tieing well ie balanced, neat, symmetrical wraps that fit the body being tied. Plus if the recipient is that way inclined it can be a reward to see and feel them relax in to you, trust you.
It for me is a perfect combination of technical challenge and artistic creativity.
It is very sensual and personal, a communication between you and the recipient. |

Shibari is something I love, it's the sensuality of it, how I relax as I'm being tied. It puts me into a totally chilled, often submissive headspace.
For advice and teaching, look on the other site for peer rope groups (or jams), none sexual spaces where the focus is on learning through mutual support. they are all over the country and great fun.
I can also recommend looking for two knotty boys on YouTube, midori's book 'bondage for beginners' and chanta roses book 'bondage for sex' and good starting places. |
