Should we pay for this site

Now we have all had a moan and groan over time about all the timewasters on here, and some have even said it has gone down hill recently.
So just a point of view
Would it reduce the amount of timewasters on here if this became a paid site ?
Think it may stop the idiots joining, firing off messages, arranging meets and then deleting their accounts and rejoining a week or so later under a different name.
We are not suggesting a Kings ransom as a joining fee, but surely £25 a year would help to reduce the idiots.
Yes i know it is proud to boast "Fab is a Free site" but if you want a bit of quality would paying for it be an answer ?
What are the alternatives ? |

Time wasters and idiots have money too so that won't stop them if they're determined enough. So to that end, no. I wouldn't want to see the site become a paying members site. The very attraction in the first place is the fact it's free (unless you choose to support with your fiver) |

Don't think it would make much difference really, other pay swinger sites seem just as full of timewasters and fakes, sometimes it gets frustrating but hell you can always message us OP for a meet, if you get desperate x |

"i pay more than that, i pay £5 a month"
Yes so do we and that is really half of our point. Clearly you wouldn't bomb on and off here every other week. if you had to pay a fiver every time you did.
So is a Silver or Gold Supporter just another way of saying paid membership
it was just a view point. |

"Perhaps taking away certain features for not being a site supporter maybe ie no cam access or message options "
Limit the number of messages you can send/receive per day to non site supporters, I think they already do this but not sure how many it is,
Also I think the forum should be closed to anyone who hasn't signed up |

The alternative is simple...join another site.
I pay £5 but I wouldn't pay a £25 annual fee. If you don't want to have your time wasted by repeat newbies then don't chat to them...simple isn't it? |

And veeeery soon, just to keep the numbers down.....just to avoid a cockfest.....just to eliminate timewasters, single fems free, cpls £25 and single guys £50.
I look forward to that with baited breath. |

Oh I forgot to add; and just to "cover costs" |

Yeah, why not. Apparently its the answer to the shit time so many people seem to be having.
Then when you're paying an annual £25 and STILL answering one word messages from new/unverified/pictureless A-holes, then you can start a thread saying "Why do I pay you my £25 for this Fab?!
Just think people should take responsibility for who they communicate with and employing their own brain filters, instead of blaming the site. |

"You can just filter out people who aren't site supporters?"
That's what we do but even then, after many chats and they wrnt to meet, you suggest dates etc... and ......... silence.
Our last message often goes unread yet they're on many times since then. |

So at no point after the first message, or even the 10th, should anyone be allowed to not follow through and meet? |

What we suggested on the forum got shot down in flames a few months ago.
You and someone agree to meet, you then send a meet request, they either then accept or decline. If they accept, then more options appear; did other party show up, no show, pulled out (ooeeerrr) etc.. and those % stats recorded and on their profile for others to see.
Someone with a low coversion rate, you can choose to ignore before wasting messaging time.
Cue attackers!!!!! |

"I paid 30 pound the last time, It runs out early next year.
How do you prove you are a single Man or couple, Even sending face pictures can be faked
You could be from Sidney."

Your powers of observation do you credit, lmfao.
The point is, they often get in touch, you chat, they suggest meeting, you offer dates..... silence.
So Sherlock, there's a definition of a time waster and what it does, it makes us write and stick to the criteria that's in our profile. |

I use another site where most have to pay. There are just the same problems there. |

No, its an idea. But I know its available on another site.
People don't bother with it for two reasons, firstly because shit happens and you don't want a bad rep for something you can't help. And secondly because its like giving someone a pre-nuptial agreement. Who likes them? |

If it became a full-pay site, I wouldn't stay a member. I've left other full-pay sites because of my location, and the lack of like-minded people remotely interested in meeting, ie; less headcount per Pound, so less value for money |

Just have bronze, silver and gold memberships and each band can't contact a higher band. Those willing to pay more should hopefully meet more dedicated members who don't time waste. |
