I have been to BGHS several times and always found it relaxed, friendly and professional. It is worth pointing out it is a naturist spa with private rooms and not a swingers spa; they will take you on a tour and explain the rules but essentially any play has to be done in the private rooms and not the public area.
Saturday evenings are mixed couples only so you won't have the "one woman and ten blokes following her" scenario.
I hope you have a great time and it is a pity I can't make it down to say hello. |

We've been many times and we really enjoy the place.
If it's play you're after, fine, but keep that in the "rest" areas. The spa facilities are excellent and if you wish to eat there, the food is very good and reasonably priced.
We've played almost every time we've been, fantastic! |

I don't think its that good. I can fully accept their rules about playing, as it's not a swingers club. But rules such as not being allowed to sit naked on the edge of a pool are a bit much. Don't think there would be many other naturist clubs who tell their patrons off for nudity! The restrictions of how one is allowed to sit or stand just get tiresome after a while. But they do nothing to control the lone wolves that follow couples from room to room.

I didn't realise there was a rule about not sitting on the edge of the pool naked. If there is I can only assume it's for health and safety reasons. |

I've been told off of 2 separate occasions for sitting on the edge of th hot tub. I've been told to stay in the water, or if I'm too hot to go and sit somewhere else with my towel round me. |

It's because of safety. When I asked they said that it's because they are worried that people will do it when they get a bit hot. If you sit on the edge you can continue to overheat, without realising and risk fainting. So it's safer to get out and sit somewhere else and cool down.
It has nothing to do with the nudity.
The only place you must cover up with a towel is the lounge and that's because there's food being served.
Great place we go to regularly.
Staff are very polite and it's very relaxing. Just keep any play to the rest rooms, which includes sitting on partner's laps due to people having sex in hot tubs while claiming that's what they're doing. |

Definitely try it. It's very friendly and the spa is great. If it's sunny you can sunbathe on the roof too.
The restrooms are fun and range from small locked rooms where you can be private to a big open area where you definitely can't with a mirrored room in between.
Parking is pretty easy on the street but limited to 4 hours or you can grab a cab from Brighton centre where there are more options
We found the staff super friendly and we will be back very soon |

"Thanks guys that would be handy. Which road?"
Manor road, carry on past BGHS and turn right at the end. I think that if you turn left there's some as well. It's about £6 for all day. You can pay using an app on your phone saving the need for money. Search on Google for the Brighton on street parking council page ( not allowed to post links ) |

It would have been nice if they'd explained that, especially as this isn't a health and safety rule I've ever been asked to observe in other spas. And yet they were quite happy for me to get back into the hot tub after they asked me if I was hot. Surely if I had acknowledged I was hot, and they were concerned they should insist I move away from the tub, not get back in! The attendants concerned were perfectly happy once I'd got back into the heat though, hense putting myself at greater risk. But it's a rule I put up with in the absence of any of the other spas being in the geographical area.

I was told (Sue) if I was sitting on the edge I had to have a towel around me so it's a nudity issue rather than health and safety. Strange rule and a very strange owner
