I've been on a couple of times, only arranged to meet one person though... if I'm honest, I use it for a bit of an ego boost then come back off with little intention of anything more |

Ive tried it to meet a girlfriend but have always failed badly lol. I have went on a few dates but it never worked out. I have tried plenty of fish think i had 2 dates from that but same again.
Guessing im unlucky in love or however that sentence goes  |

tbh I had no idea it ever was linked to Facebook...
but as with most things that are, just remove your phone number from Facebook and they have trouble linking you to anything....and it annoys the hell out of them

I deleted all dating sites. Folk just after a shag pretending they want more... least on here i know what folk want and dont have to get invested for a week hearing about boring shit like what they are having for tea and their kids nativity |

Apparently it's linked to your photos on there? Or at least that's what I was told.
You cannot have Tinder unless you have Facebook and as I don't have Facebook I can't look into it despite hearing so much about it  |

Just an ordinary date, neither of us were swinging before we met each other.
I would love to say it's horrible and blah blah but it's just like here. Have standards, wade through the rubbish and perhaps you'll find a gem!

Had it installed a week or so back for a few days, spent far too long swiping improbably attractive women who wouldn't have the slightest interest in me (and in fairness not many were my "type" for dating anyway) , decided it was a waste of time and deleted it. |

Works well for me
plenty of chats had a meet Tuesday etc few more lined up. Been on it 3 weeks easy way to rifle through a hundred people no different to spotting people on street only difference it they're advertised as available, and willing to chat if they like your basic info. |

Haha yep! Had a mate recommend Tinder, Bumble, this, Feel'd and Happn. Used them all. This the only one with forum which I use for feedback, but for meets the pool is so small have one search that spots maybe 1 new person every 3 days and that's the only proactive messaging I do here. On tinder and bumble I get maybe 100 new options a day of which maybe 10 girls I'll like (fussy fella!) and I get maybe 1 match every 2 days with a decent seeming person if I keep on it. Here it (will) take a few months to hit even close to the same numbers (I've had more messages and matches on Feel'd!)

Depends, I swipe right maybe 10 in every hundred. I know guys who swipe right 100 times in a 100.
I'll generally text back as I was more choosy. I know ones who generally don't unless you're a 'worldy'.

Yes! 2 within last 2 weeks, both reasonably far away (1 in Southampton and 1 in Norwich) but agree you only get about 3 or 4 new people a day before that beautiful humans message |

Yes you do so it's regular vanilla pictures only. There's a setting that allows you to ensure never match with a friend on Facebook. In short no-one one FB should know you're on there and even if they did keep the profile vanilla and it's perfectly harmless |

You can feel reasonably staisfied with that fella!
The girls here can afford to be mega selective.
Tinder is a far more level playing ground.
Some low level analysis to illustrate, easy to do.
Quick search for active girls within 10 miles I get 233 active in last 24hours (verified) in my area. Search active guys you get 310 active in last 10 minutes (!)
Let that sink in.
From that basic search alone there are *significantly* more active men than women.
Now if you set your expectations on the level of Tinder (judging purely on attractiveness to make it fair comparison) the number of available 'fit' women (those who gym regular, take nice shots etc) this reduces the pool even further.
Extrapolating the numbers (if applying the same success ratios as tinder) with the same selectiveness, I'd suggest would take most of us single men near a year to find a 'Tinder fit' girl
In short - if you want dates and sex you'd have far better success going speed dating for £20 a pop where you get guaranteed audience and typically get 3 to 4 numbers at the end.. Or just swiping right to everyone on Tinder!
Set your expectations accordingly, and settle into the long search for that rarity who spots you, and have some banter with the nice people here.
Else do what I do and smash all the dating apps at once. If you're an attractive dude with something to offer and a bit about you, be doing yourself a disservice not to spread the net wide as possible and be equally selective yourself! |
