Daddy issues, money, the fact they can reach for a better quality guy who is settling for a younger girl etc.
I mean most young girls with old guys have zero career prospects.

Personally I grew up with three older brothers, the youngest being 5 years older than me.
Therefore I was used to mixing with guys older than me, by this I mean their friends. So up until my mid thirties there was always a minimum age gap in my choice of partner.
Now I have no preference either way.

Not just in sex.
I get along very well with a lady 20 years my junior. She knows she can speak to me on any subject under the sun, and I will give her an honest, considered opinion. Likewise, I can get a younger perspective from her.

We have been together for 7 years, married for 3 and are incredibly happy ... intellectually equal, financially equal and have worked incredibly hard in order to be able to live the dream of living in the countryside .... at least out here we don't have to deal with the type of small minded jealousy and bigotry illustrated above!

To varying degrees I've always had older partners. At least ten years older since my 30s.
I love the maturity and experience, which applies to many things, including sex. I like to be treated like a lady and older guys understand this more than my own age and younger.
Also looks I'm attracted to older guys more.
As for money  wow it's 2017. Thanks for the comments above, but I've worked from 16 and as an adult always being financially independent. |

Erm, I think there are lots of reasons as to why they do... maybe ask one and find out their personal reason? Or just generalise using negative reasons That works too.
For me? I just do. I've thought about it a lot before.
I don't have daddy issues, my career is going great and I'm comfortable financially. My current partner is 15+years older than me and we work well together. |

I have always preferred older guys. Since I have joined this site I am astonished to see the sheer volume of younger guys who want experience with an 'older' woman. They ask daft things like ' Have I ever slept with a 27 year old ' errr, of course as I was 16 once. My total experience means that older men satisfy me. Simples |

I'm going to turn this on its head.
This is a conclusion from reading so many repetitive posts on fab.
The younger women have to go for older men.....because 90 odd % of younger men keep posting about their obsession with older women!
There aren't enough young guys for the young women on here....so they look for older.

And all these negative and positive generalisations, none of them stand up to scrutiny their is no medium figure on girls who are gold diggers or older men have more experience so their better in bed these are all generalisations streaming from provocations instead of reality, if I gave you a 100 men could you tell me the figure of how many are good in bed? I had met a few when I joined last time I was on who were younger than me. I was disappointed with them .However have met someone younger than me slightly and it's been great this time around. |

Some of these comments are a bit harsh, and probably comes from which end of the telescope you're looking through.
When I was 23, fit, muscular, there's no way I would have thought 20yrs later, real life, a stressful career, and a serious car accident would have left me in the shape I'm in.
From my limited experience, I can offer any woman (younger or older), an escape from normal life. It's not just sex, although sometimes it is. I'm more attentive, less inclined to fuck and go, So I could get down the pub and get some bragging rights with my mates. If I find a girl I click with, I'm more inclined to spend more time with (not money).
I can't see someone every night, so it's definitely quality over quality. I'm more open-minded, more experienced, more patient, and with fewer hang-ups. I have enough stress in my life, so don't need to be pushy, or arsey.
Try looking down the other end of the telescope.

I've heard many reasons why some women prefer older men..most covered here...we have a 17 year age gap and have been together 9 years now... ours definitely is not a daddy relationship or a gold digging/money relationship having been together through some lean times. What I would say is that some younger women feel that an older man is less likely to stray or be unfaithful to her..so she has stability in a relationship..plus he is often a more experienced and attentive lover less chances he is out for self satisfaction bit more mutual pleasures. |

And, #2, while I'm on a role, I suspect girls can be attracted to guys, who are assertive, confident, self-assured. These just happen to be traits of males and females who maybe doing quite nicely, thank you very much.
Another aspect as to why males and females are attracted to partners who maybe more financially comfortable, is that they know their partner isn't going to be spongeing off them.
