It may be down to picture collection. There is, as you say, no shortage of porn available online but lifting pics from someone's profile 1) has a sort of sneaky, underhand feel to it and that's attractive to some lowlifes. 2) most of the stuff online is either professional models or anonymous folks from who knows where and, as such, are unattainable.
The 'attraction' (and this was the reason for the success of Reader's Wives sections in men's magazines) is the the people on the profile (mostly) do actually exist and, if you pester the right people, live nearby. That makes the chance of meeting them, or even shagging them, a possiblity however unlikely it is. That's a bit of a thrill for some guys. |

1) new girls
2) no pictures, very short description 1 line.
3) no picture verification
4) some pictures obviously lifed from porn shots
5) all male friends
6) possibly 1 male verification from either hidden or delted profile
7) members for a short time
8) constantly on line
9) no repsonse to messages even a polite no but no thanks
10) or 2nd or 1st message can you send pictures..
also you can get a fair idea from the use of language, grammar if a male or female has written the profile
(psychological profiling is part of my job and no i am not a policeman),,,

and from other ads and posts i'm not the only one that acknowledeges frauds and timewasteres on here...
lots of ads mention timewasters etc....
and lots of forums are about no-shows, excuses etc....
how often is "genuine" used as a request or statement...

no i do not manage peoples behaviour to motivate them, i provide analysis of the link between behaviour and the motivations for such behaviours considered to be unsuitable for the environment people are in; and create bespoke behaviour management strategies on individuals for professionals. (generally in different types of institutions...)...
it wouldn't work with swingers...because as everyone knows we are all completely nuts...
