We seem to get a fair number of winks or friend requests from other members who live literally nowhere near us, in some cases hundreds of miles away.
While this is flattering ... I don't really see what they hope to get from this as a meet isn't practical is it, especially as we'd want a social first. |

Maybe they think you're so fine they'd be prepared to travel?
I have every intention of visiting a couple of new friends on here that are the other end of the country. Is there a better reason for a fun weekend road-trip? |

Yeah pic hunters! Easily spottable, some are even brazen enough to message asking for pics too.
All mine are reserved for friends I've met, or people I'm arranging to meet, I have made one or two exceptions for people I would love to meet but if it doesn't look like that's going to pan out then they get deleted too.
Nothing worse than having friends on your list who don't actually speak to you |

We've winked or messaged people who are a long way away before. Usually because we like their profile and want to say hi We travel around the UK a fair bit on weekends away so we would probably be able to travel to visit new friends.
Not so great for last minute meets, obviously, but we like to take our time getting to know people online first so the long game is good with us |

In our experiences as far as other couples go, half of these types of contacts are idle browsing and the other half will follow up to say they're planning a visit to Brighton soon! |

I may digress here, but I'm fairly confident there are many things worse than this.
"
Accidentally cuts off leg
'Ah it could be worse - I could have friends on my fab list who don't speak to me'

As a guy who admittedly has been on here and spent time perving they are probably after your pics to wank over!
I don't tend to friend request unless there is a slim chance of a meet or dialogue! |

"Why wink?
when a message says so much more!
"
I agree.
Even though it says on my profile I don't respond to winks people still do it. Bemuses me no end |

We've had one or two lovely people actually message us to say they like our profile which is really nice. A message like that makes sense, not so sure about a random wink |

Some people wink because they're not sure what to say, or are shy or passive. Which I can sympathise with but on the other hand with swinging you need to grow a pair.
And yes you do have a great profile |
