It appears that 3 quarters of women on this site prefer Tall guy. Most tall guys come across as all talk and no action guys in chat rooms especially. Yeah we all have preferences. However, it does not make it easier for us averege height guys to get meets. Then a fair few women complain that they been let down by so called tall guys with tatts i find it funny in a way. |

what's funny about getting let down? are you saying short guys don't let people down?
what a stupid statement to make! |

Everyone has their preferences whether that be tall short black white large or small and shouldn't be judged by it. And people really shouldn't gloat because others that don't go for that persons type has been let down.
As a short arse myself I dont let it bother me as i haven't preferences as well.
I've actually met women that are over 6ft didn't bother me or them |

It's just a preference, Inlive tall guys as they make me feel small n delicate but if someone cute enough then I won't rule them out because of height - I met someone that was possibly same height or shorter than me, very petite his hands were smaller than mine and we had a fabulous time! |

Not sure that there is any proof that short guys are more reliable than tall guys. That sounds a bit of an odd statement to me. I do agree that women on the whole do prefer men who are a fair bit taller than themselves, and that's just unfortunate. I can't bear it if a man is shorter than me when I'm wearing heels - it makes me feel big and unfeminine. I wish I were shorter then I would have a greater choice of men. My advise to you OP is hunt out short women.

Im 6-2 but I love small ladies. Easy to 'carry' hehe. I guess as a man you feel protective to small ladies. Also I guess its a question of 'proportion' nudge nudge!! |

"It's funny how women have a thing about height but most men aren't bothered about how small/tall a woman is "
Most men are more fussy about a womans horizontal size, whilst women are more concerned about the vertical size of a man. Seems a fair trade to me. |

I think the OP is suggesting that average guys (in general) make more effort than guys who are knee deep in clunge. Height just happens to be a priority for a lot of womens sexual attraction. |

I prefer tall men as I am taller than average for most woman
Not trying to be crude, but I once had sex with a guy who was 5'6" and I was constantly 'stooping' to get at everything; gave me a neck-ache

People always ask me what my type is..
I do not have a type because Anton outside of it would be instantly dismissed.
I don't act or think like that
I meet a new person... if i like them for them as who they are.. then they are my type. If I don't. They're not |

most of my meets have been 6ft 4, and i even dated someone 6ft 6 last year. they're not more likely to let anyone down at all. short guys are less likely to be popular but some do have some success.
if you want anything more than NSA sex, ie a social, then all types of men are likely to let you down. so i've found. and then they act like nothing happened and push for an NSA meet instead. such is the nature of many the men on this site. they will lie and/or manipulate to get what they want. |

I'm just over 5'2, most of my wedges or heeled shoes are 5 or 6 inches making me 5'8, I still want the guy to be taller than me when he's walking next to me so I like guys to be over 5'10. |

Meh. People are people. Tall, sjort whatever. It's not like I can suddenly be 5'6 just to tick someone's box.
But then i'm not looking for a protector. I'm.like for a partner, be that sexual or otherwise. So the height and size of them is irrelevant. |

I'm 6ft 2. I actively seek out men who come up to breast level (the height requirement has gone down as my breasts have sagged). It makes it easier to get in some extra nipple lurvin as and when the mood takes me |

You aren't average at 5'6". I'm average. 5'10".
Tall is above that . Hight has nothing to do with being all talk etc. I fail to follow your logic.
Why complaining about others preferences anyway?

Is kinda stupid, there's clearly no correlation between height and odds of going a time waster. Your height is not what's holding you back with such a bitter attitude. |

As someone who's seen many bodies, I can tell you that dicks don't pay attention to the trunk they grow on.

OP it's confidence mate. I get deleted messages all the time. I'm the shortest outta the bunch of grapes. But my charm and confidence makes some women even forget how tall I am. Respond with cheeky or lame jokes. It will make her cringe but also but a smile on her face. I met my ex off fab. Her profile was strictly tall guys 5'10 above or won't even reply. Few messages and bad jokes I got her number started conversating and when we met for the first time her first words to me were "shit I forgot you were short" LMAO needless to say she fell for me and the height thing didn't become a issue for her. So to some women they say they want tall guys only but you put a little time and effort I'm sure she'll go for you over big Ben lol |

We meet people for sex, not relationships, and I couldn't give a toss how tall the chap is.
The shortest was probably only 5'4".
I'm more attracted to positivity and a sense of humour than height.

I don't look for a tall guy but do like one that's taller than me.
But being 5ft3" makes that easy for me.
To be honest I don't really tend to pay attention to height unless it comes to dating. Casual sex I'm not so fussy about height.

I'm short, i don't have a chip on my shoulder about it. I'm generally a grumpy person though and it is annoying when people conflate the two. But personally i find a lot of larger women have a chip on their shoulder about i
their size and the fact most men find it a turn off, like most women prefer taller guys. You don't hear me crying about 'body shaming' when women say they don't want to meet a short guy though. |

It is a survey. Most market research is done using surveys. If surveys did not exist, we would all end up wearing Jute sacks because manufactures would have no way of knowing our preferences
Yes, men prefer slimmer women. I have more men hold open doors for me when I loose weight and go to the gym regularly than when I gain weight. Same when I visit swinging clubs
However, and this is just my experience; more larger women are happier in their own skin than slimmer women who, are constantly worrying about their figure. And again, just my experience, more larger women are nicer people
Nothing wrong or right being either

I dont speak for them, science does. University of Aberdeen study run by Professor John Speakman or the University of New South Wales both ran studies proving most men prefer slimmer women.
Likewise most women prefer taller men. Only one of us is upset by these facts so thanks for proving my point. that's not really science though is it lol.it's still just a guy asking a bunch of people there prefrences .I wouldint read too much into two small studies by university's with way to much time on there hands lol.
Those are just the two i could be bothered to name. You can also check out Sonia Oreffice's study at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing and the University of Aberdeen in Scotland or take your head of the fab echo chamber and use your damn common sense. So how many studies can you name that prove the average male prefers larger women? calm down fs lol.my point is you are looking up "science" and am using that term very lightly to try and justify weather guys like large or thin.it's ridiculous and a waste of time.it's common sense that males prefer woman that are more in shape due to the fact we are mammals and a more in shape woman implies more fertile.there you go I just pulled some common sense out my ass and I had no need to spend my time looking up the internet's to appear smart ."
it's not just an implication any more. being obese or underweight can be a cause infertility problems or likely to result in a high risk pregnancy. |

"It is a survey.

Well you've just proved that last theory wrong because you come across really catty throughout this thread, taking the piss of guys height and saying derogatory things is as bad as a guy making fun of a fat woman. In fact it's worse cos a guy can't gain height, women can lose weight. |

I've followed the whole thread. Nothing said by Mrs J, or by any other woman, came across to me as derogatory or piss-taking to shorter men. Certainly plenty of women, including myself, have strongly expressed their preference and reasons for it, but I don't think that's unreasonable.

I just don't like any type of thread where you have to put one group down to praise the other group, I feel it as I'm often on the negative side of preferences because I've had a boob job. I have many preferences, think I'm the biggest advocate on here for a large phallous but I don't say any other penis is crap. Comments like wanting to look up at guys rather than rest your drink on his head or any comment knocking a guys height, something that he can do absolutely nothing about, it's cruel I think.
Also saying comments like slim women aren't as nice as large women, or slim women aren't as happy in their skin as larger women, they're just stupid comments.
I'm addressing everyone that's said any comments that fall into what I've just described. |

You are now just thrashing about. You have still not quoted a single post in its entirety from me where you claim that I was "taking the piss of guys height and saying derogatory things"
And as for slimmer women; I am one of them, being 5'10" tall in my bare feet and size 14. And what I wrote was this:
"It is a survey. Most market research is done using surveys. If surveys did not exist, we would all end up wearing Jute sacks because manufactures would have no way of knowing our preferences

Tell me where did I write that "slim women aren't as nice as large women, or slim women aren't as happy in their skin as larger women"
You need to learn to start reading properly before hitting the post button
I am still waiting for you to find that precious little time

You might not say any penis below large is crap, but as you yourself put it, you're the biggest advocator of large men. So, everytime you comment on it, anyone below will feel it.
A guy can do nothing about his penis size as well as his height size. |

About 10 or so years ago when I began vanilla Internet dating . The dating site I was on did a survey and 75% of women wanted a man over 6 foot, at the time about 1 in 10 adult uk men were over 6 foot. It is nearer 1 in 6 now, but there must have been an awful lot of disappointed women. |

Having a preference for one doesn't put down the other. But comments like "I find most short men to have a big chip on their shoulder" are unhelpful. By all means make a factually accurate statement like "like most women i prefer tall guys" but to say that most guys who fall outside your preference have a chip on their shoulder is just golden vagina syndrome at its worst. |

That sounds accurate. Although it's unpalatable for most people to admit it, any sensible person makes compromises when choosing a life partner. Most women don't just want height, actually income is more important for most women (albeit as a hygiene factor), then they want a guy who also wants kids, preferably without them from a previous relationship bla bla how many men fall into that category!? Men have a similar wish list albeit income and height are substituted for facial attractiveness and body size. |

We all have preferences. And people have different preferences. A preference does not mean that someone not falling within that preference is somehow a sub-species
Quite a number of men, short and tall, expressed a preference for short women; that didn't put my nose out of joint.
As long as my hubby finds me attractive, which he does, and as long as I find tall men for sex in clubs, which I do, all is AOK in Mrs. J's little world

"I find most short men to have a big chip on their shoulder and are offended that I won't meet them. I get more abuse from short men than any other.
I love generalisations too.
I'm short, i don't have a chip on my shoulder about it. I'm generally a grumpy person though and it is annoying when people conflate the two. But personally i find a lot of larger women have a chip on their shoulder about i
their size and the fact most men find it a turn off, like most women prefer taller guys. You don't hear me crying about 'body shaming' when women say they don't want to meet a short guy though. yep,you most definitely don't have a chip on your shoulder lol. Don't care if a guy/girl is smaller or taller than me, not that insecure to worry about it, feel just as feminine if they are shorter than me in my heels....

At the end of the day you said it was your personal experience and nobody else can tell you what your personal experience is. But there are a myriad of reasons why guys who get turned down react badly (although they shouldn't). There just aren't enough men who genuinely have SMS to make what you are saying representative. |
