Hey OP Ramadan Kareem.

I worked in the ME for a while and Ramadan was my favourite time; from the guy banging his drum before first light to joining friends and their families for iftar.

I was working in a predominantly Muslim area of Manchester the other day and the smells coming from some of the houses were amazing. I was there til late and as the sun went down people started going to eachothers houses with various platters of food. It really did smell fantastic.

When I was at my part time job, my mother used to send me food to open my fast with at work. When she found out the other guys in my team wanted in on the food too she sent loads extra without being asked. They were disappointed when it ended haha!

I'm fasting too. Hoping to lose some weight during it - month before fasting I'd lost a stone and since beginning fasting I've lost 0.5 stone!

Is it 'easier' with cooler weather? It's cooled down here so I'd imagine dehydration wouldn't be as much an issue. Hope so anyway. x

Respect to you for having the faith to observe your traditions. I (Mark) am spiritual rather than religious, but appreciate the struggle of man to do what he believes (as long as no harm is done to others obviously). Wish you great joy once Ramadan comes to an end.

Yeh it is easier I find in the cooler weather. As you're not getting as dehydrated as you would in the hot weather.
