Kelly brook is curvy. Dawn French isn't

There is no 'cut off' because it's entirely subjective. Each individual will give you a different answer according to how they see it, so you'll never get a uniform opinion.

Yes I must admit I enjoy the attention on fab as a curvier lady than what I usually get out and about in bars in town x

It's probably got something to do with dress size and height plus hip to waist ratio but curvy and bbw are subjective.

No BBC means something else and why are women being labelled like this?

I wouldn't say it was being labelled in a bad way as even fab asks your body shape when you join so I guess it's just so people get a rou idea was just a random question not meant to offend anybody X

It not an offensive question per se, it just tends to get under certain people's skins.

What one person would call curvy, another will call fat, and that's where the lines get blurred. There's no one uniform answer as to what is defined as curvy or BBW.

I'm not offended at all but it does make me think it's labelling a certain sized lady.

Do we refer to thin ladies as TBWs (Thin Beautiful Women)?

I rest my case....

This was sorta my point....

Why does BBC refer to a well endowed man of African descent, when someone from Asia may have a darker skin tone?

We all label ourselves one thing or another, maybe just a way of clarifying who/what we identify with.

What we call ourselves is irrelevant....who really cares how another chooses to refer to him/herself?

I'm just me....I claimed curvy when I signed up, as I didn't feel just average or fabulous at the time.

It's a good question. They are just overweight after all. I guess they just prefer BBW over the reality?

Which is why you decided to call yourself "fabulous" rather than morbidly obese?

This is like the slim/athletic/average debate - I think it's best not to get hung up on the definition, beauty is in the eye of the beholder- if in doubt use the fabulous option!

Don't go there! You'll start the "a woman who's 4ft 5 and size 12 is not like a woman 5ft 10 and size 12".... #groundhogday

PBW - Petite Beautiful Woman....??

BBW - BIG Beautiful Woman...??

I think calling women BIG is insulting - buses are BIG.

It's definitely a grey area.

We are what we are.....thin, fat, tall, short etc.

Labels are just downright silly.

It's very interesting to read other people's take on this subject which is what Forums are all about but I'm not being cajoled into going into specialist forums to ask questions.

In medical terms I'm considered morbidly obese for my height to weight ratio. I am what I am, and even if I lost a few stone, I still wouldn't be skinny as it's not my build.

For the record, my hubs says I'm curvy, but in other's opinions I'd be considered fat!
