Maybe they convinced themselves of the lie so can't help themselves.
I suppose in a way us cross dressers are all telling a lie in a way. Appearance says one thing (not always very convincingly) but the genitals reveal the truth. |

"Will someone explain to me why people lie.
The truth always comes out!
Depends on the lie and what they have to gain from telling it.
" from my point they gain nothing but could loose everything. |

Just wanted to add.
I hate lying and people who do it.
My honest approach to life has held me back many times.
Don't get me wrong I'm not one of these "tell it like it is no matter who get's hurt" person.
More
I can't abide lying and will always try to be honest and truthful and law abiding.
Hiding swinging from our family tho while we have to lie which really conflicts my sensibility has to be done.
But your right op the truth will come out eventually.
Which concerns me/us.
But how do you explain to you kid's that you enjoy men fucking there mum while I am not there?
It's not a conversation I want to get into. |

they probably saw it the other way round, nothing to lose by lying and more to lose by being honest.
that usually is one reason why people are deceptive. another is shame -too ashamed to tell the truth, and this last one is they enjoy the deception and these are the liars to avoid and not forgive imo. |

But that's your point and not theirs.
Their point would be the polar opposite hence lying. |

Some people genuinely can't tell the difference between a lie and not a lie. Some people think lying is normal, I've seen families who lie to each other the whole time it's very odd. I've had experience of a close relationship with a pathological liar, scary stuff. |

Sometimes people lie to protect others feelings. Others lie to keep themselves out of the shit. Some lie just because they are fantasists. Some lie to get meets, it's never ending. The truth does usually come out in the end tho, nobody likes a liar. |
