I think there was an experiment where it showed that dad bods are better for cuddling where as six packs are better to look at .
Although at the end of the day, it's down to personal preference. |

What's not to like about a fit body as opposed to love handles and moobs...
Only thing is less toned people can maybe feel inferior to fit people body wise and maybe feel comfortable with someone who makes them look good!
For me I like fit or at least toned and everything in right place, not into big bellies, moobs or balls down to your knees. |

It's the same for men, some men like a woman lean toned body, I personally prefer soft maulible curves on a mom bod,
Some people feel a souped up car makes them better, some realise an old ford does the same job with less hassle,
I have found over the years that people with great body's are usually confident but actually more insecure than those with what's classed as a "average" body shape
Sadly the world is still hung up on the superficial bollocks of body shapes. |

"Both
At the same time? .
Even better
It's the only way you can get a valid comparison to answer the original question, obviously. I admire your dedication

I judge you all

I like both but generally end up meeting dad bods as we are average so there's the comfort zone there ...plus they are more able to stimulate the mind as well as they tend to be down to earth |

I applaud those guys with 6-packs for their dedication and effort to get to that state - unfortunately while I will head to the gym when I can real life, and (crucially!) a weakness for cake, means that I'm gonna keep my eye open for those that like the, erm, less 'solid' physique! |

Dad bod every time!
Again, well done to the dedicated gym bunnies, but they're just not for me.
I have a major weakness for a large gentleman's physique. I love a nice belly!
And love-handles, and back rolls, and thick thighs, and chins.....
Coming over all unnecessary just at the thought....

I never understand where this comes from. Why would someone who goes to the gym not be down to earth or unable to stimulate the mind? |

A pack of six dad bods, please.
Six packs are nice to appreciate, but usually mean he's obsessed with his body, keeping fit and in the gym a lot, so whilst those are good in theory, it's the dad bod which gets my vote. |

"6 pack every time. Dad bod just means fat, lazy, out of shape. Who wants a beer gut hanging over?"
I beg to differ, I have a dad bod but I am not fat, lazy or out if shape. Age does not help. You should try not to generalise when making such damming statements. Oh and I train 5 to 6 times a week a mixture of bootcamp and cycling. So not out of shape or lazy. |

A nice smile and an ability to make me laugh is far more important than what the body looks like. But as first impressions on here are photos and a small message i'll have to say dad bod but I do love muscular traps (trapezius) |

Care to rethink that?
I'm fat because a horrendous breakup with my kids mother fucked with my mental health and I was in no position to take care of myself for years. I get up at 6am every morning to walk my dog for nearly 2 hours, I make my kids breakfast and take one to school, I then go and work a full day mon-fri, I do cardio and weights every evening. I'm into abseiling, ice skating and I've climbed snowdon more times than I can recall. What was that you were saying about fat = lazy. |

"6 pack every time. Dad bod just means fat, lazy, out of shape. Who wants a beer gut hanging over?"
I've completed 4 sprint distance triathlons, 2 100 mile bike rides & several enduro mountain bike events. I'm not lazy or unfit. If I was slightly more disciplined about my diet I'd have a 6 pack but I'd rather have my food. |

Don't forget he said dad bods have beer guts that hang over! Lol. As you know not all dad bods have big bellies nor a belly which hangs over. I like soft but healthy looking mens bodies. 6 packs are uncomfortable to hug against and those bodies don't always look good either! Often they're accompanied by an arrogant mind. He needs a head wobble and reality check me thinks.
You on the other hand, looks really good. You obviously are very active and equally take care of yourself and not obsessively so. Hope you've had a great weekend |

I do have quite the belly on me at the moment, but it is going and I can now say I fit within your size 38 limit after dropping 3 sizes since xmas. But it's the idea that people may look at me as I am now and assume I am lazy or that it reflects on my stamina. |

Dad bod is my preference, always have been attracted to that shape
Don't mind a beer gut on a guy, weighlighters and rugby physique too
Don't mind slightly toned but full on ripped isn't for me you, so unless the 6 pack you've got on offer is in the form of Carlsberg you can keep it |

Bless...what an assumption
You can be large and athletic, some men like to have the body of a pre-pubescent teen, some men like the hulking mass of a pilliging Viking,
All these choices keep the world spinning on a jolly axis
Now where did I leave my ship!! |

I'm talking from my experience....guys who approach us and have a six pack haven't made an effort to say anything to try stimulate the imagination but others who seem not to have a six pack have made more of an effort in convo ....I'm sure that's not true of all guys with a six pack and didn't mean to generalise |

I prefer guys who have a bit of extra weight on them and tall guys but as long as they can perform and have stamina i really do not care too much. Men with very skinny waists do not do it for me as do 6 packs.. i just dont like to feel them .. sorry. I appreciate all the effort you guys do to keep trim and toned though. well done x |

Somewhere in between for me. I like a man who takes care of himself but not one who takes himself too seriously. Nothing wrong with whatever you look like it's about personality and confidence but I find myself initially attracted to well built, gym fit men. |

Used to have a six pack when I did martial arts and then dad bod appeared, still keep quite trim but not as mental as when I was 20
Better to fill out a bit and focus on yer skills
Now it's a six pack bogof deal

As a woman with plenty of jiggle, I definitely feel more confident around a guy with a dad bod.
For me it's more important that they have a face I find good looking. |
