I get an allergic reaction to condoms. It's not the latex but tbe Spermicide! Does anyone else get or know of others that are allergic to nono 9?

Granted I don't need an epi pen on standby, but it isn't comfortable

Id ask at the gum clinic. They are the experts and should know which condoms contain which spermicidal. I always ask for latex free as I'm sensitive to others.

Well, that is interesting. Some soaps cause irritation, Lynx shower gel leaves me in a sore state. Spermicide leaves it irritated for over 8 days. So

I think its an allergy. I am generally sensitive down there. Ummm, confused myself now

Thanks. Spermicide free for me I think. I will ask google for latex and spermicide free condoms. It will probably say "just masturbate fella"

I believe most sperms are allergic to it

I'd aim to narrow it down to an identified spermicide, not lubricant - that way you can find alternative options.

I have been reading about non-9 reactions and it seems to fit the bill. I like your idea.

Though there are lots of condoms provided by health centres and others that have no spermicide, so I'd suggest taking an unopened pack to a new partner and explaining that they don't have it.

Go to the doctors and explain your symptoms.

I have a latex allergy.

I go red and get a burning. Itchy sensation not bad enough for an epipen but could get worse.

Sounds unpleasant. The Dr thinks it's an allergy. Not to latex because I don't get any reaction anywhere else. Hence Spermicide is top of the suspects list.

I'm fine if I wear latex gloves but it I touch anywhere else you can see where I've touched

That's interesting. Maybe the skin down there for us is just more sensative.
