Who's Duty to buy Condoms?

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I'm opening up this discussion as a single female and wanted other ladies opinions and guys chip in of course, when meeting I think personally it's the guy who should have the condoms?

I find it quite annoying when a guy I meet says he doesn't have any??

What is he thinking???'

Obviously I practice safe sex and usually have some lurking about but not always.

One meet I had we couldn't even play because he didn't have any!!!!

I'd say it's down to both parties that are playing to bring condom's.

It's both your responsibility to look after your sexual health.

Sometimes people have a preference over which type and brand etc.

Its always your own responsibility yo ensure you have comdoms.

We will always ensure we have them and expect others to do the same.

At the end of the day the only person you can rely on to have your best interests at heart is youtself.

It seems sensible for the guy to bring his own, not least he knows what fits and feels comfortable. And of course, to turn up without any does smack of irresponsibility, or maybe even expectation of bareback?

Having said that, it also makes sense for the woman to have some too as back up - in case of genuine forgetfulness, or running out if you're stopping and starting over a long period.

I however, bring the lube in case I'm in the mood for anal. You never know how turned on a girl may get.

In an ideal world you could discuss this prior to a meet.

As it's not an ideal world I always bring my own unless previously agreed otherwise.

The only time I would expect the other party to supply them is if there is a potential latex allergy on their part.

OK... I'm going to say this a bit clearer... It is the responsibility of ALL parties to provide safety. !!

All this I provide coz I don't trust theirs, I bring mine coz I don't trust yours!! blah blah.

If that be the case - why are you entertaining having sex with anyone at all if there is a trust issue?? IMO.

It's a bit difficult to say.

On one hand you would assume the guy should bring his own condoms, he knows his size etc.

On the other hand you don't know if you can trust the guy using his own condoms and might want to bring some yourself.

On the other, other hand the guy may have trust issues in regards to your condoms.

Too many worries not enough sex is what I would say

People on here are having sexton with strangers. You can't trust someone you do not know. Plenty of guys lie about safe sex and actually arrive without condoms so yes having a back up supply is essential. You sir are far to trusting!

Prob gonna be jumped on for this but I've just brought some to keep in my medicine cabinet should my oldest daughter need them. Yes she is under age but I was sexually active at her age and whilst she is already on the pill for menstruation reasons this won't protect her from deaseses and infections.

we take responsibility for our own sexual health so we always have our own. we then know that they have been bought from a reputable place, are in date, stored corectly and are of a brand we prefer. We have varying sizes too. However, we do look pretty poorly on anyone who turns up at ours without their own even though we wouldn't generalky use them...contrary ain't we!

We agree, if you person demands condoms be worn they should have a supply for the meet to use.

At the same time if the meet has been informed that condoms had to be worn it would be rather stupid for him or her to turn up without condoms.

So, female-female transmission of infection is much less likely than male-female or male-male. However you can protect yourself by wearing gloves and using dental dams (or a split open condom), depending on what level of risk you are comfortable with.

My Own Little World

I always have some in my bag at a club, and if he hasn't already put a condom on the bed I usually take one out of my bag as a reminder that I don't play BB.

But I have playing with a guy back I started this who tried to shag me without a condom, when I asked him to put one on he said I don't have any. That was the end of that, even though I had some in my bag any trust and respect I had for him was gone, so there was no way that I would continue.

So any guy who says I don't have any I won't play with, as to me it says that he has little respect for me.

If a bloke shows up and claims to not have rubbers, tell him it's no problem.

Grab some JB Weld, roll some up to about 1/4" ball and stick it down his urethra.

I guarantee once he gets back from hospital he'll never go anywhere without condoms again.

I expect everyone to have condoms. We bring some, and so should the guy (or couple, or whoever we're meeting). Usually we go through a few condoms when we're meeting people, so they just end up around and we grab them as necessary.

Condoms benefit everyone, not just the guy whose dick it's on. So everyone should have them ready. In my opinion.

I get them free from the local clinic and now i can send away for them free of charge. I can even choose the different types of condoms, medium, large, ribbed or flavoured. A great service if you ask me. I know this isnt the case for all cities or towns but there is no excuse for either women or men to get hold of condoms.

Fair play. I'd say that's good parenting. We don't live in an ideal world we live in the real world.

How I never got an std/I or pregnant as a teen I'll never know! Xxx

my daughter has just started her periods and i've had the pregnancy talk with her even though i know she's not sexually active. better to be safe than sorry.

i did get pregnant as a teen.

Yes I agree , n with h coming out last week I think it's the right time to buy them. Although thinking about it what do lesbians (hate that words it sounds harsh) do about protecting the.selves? Xxx"

The advice for STD prevention in lesbian play is

Using condoms on dildos, Wearing latex/latex free medical gloves for hand job purposes and dental dams for oral

idk how lesbians protect themselves either, someone on here might know and give you advice. as women we should know really but all i ever got taught about was condoms.

So, female-female transmission of infection is much less likely than male-female or male-male. However you can protect yourself by wearing gloves and using dental dams (or a split open condom), depending on what level of risk you are comfortable with."

I bring my own because of personal brand preference. However, females should have them on hand for these reasons- if you have a latex allergy, your playmate is forgetful or you have so much fun and exhaust his supply.

We always take our own, I'm allergic to latex so if dick was to use one on someone a latex one and then have set with me I'd have a reaction. So makes sense to take our own.

If you come over to watch the football, I'll lay on the beers and some nibbles, if I go to yours I expect you to do the same. I'll always take some beers with me to contribute, and I'd expect you to do the same should you come to me. Whose we drink is irrelevant or in which order.

I think the same goes for condoms. If you're both adults and you've decided you're gong to fuck each other, surely the trust thing has been covered off and so you can get in with having fun, regardless of whose condoms you use?

But saying that, I can see why women might be more cautious, there is always a risk and if you're the one managing the risk, well, it's less risk right.

But I have playing with a guy back I started this who tried to shag me without a condom, when I asked him to put one on he said I don't have any. That was the end of that, even though I had some in my bag any trust and respect I had for him was gone, so there was no way that I would continue.

So any guy who says I don't have any I won't play with, as to me it says that he has little respect for me."

I always bring a selection of different sized condoms to every meet. I also prefer to be the one to put them on and take them off afterwards, that way I am doing my best to ensure the correct fit of protection for each partner as well as making sure there are no rips or tears in the latex after he has withdrawn. I value my health. And this I feel gives me a better level of control over it.

One meet I had we couldn't even play because he didn't have any!!!! "

Personally if I was a woman, I would make sure that I had some if I was having a meet... and if I was a bloke, I would also make sure I had some otherwise I may no "get any".

"OK...

IMO. "

I always use mine. My sexual health = my responsibility. At least with mine I know they are in date and haven't been tampered with.

I just carry a roll of clingfilm much cheaper than condoms and does the same job.

I always take some with me, in case my meet has 'run out'. I pop in to the local sti clinic for regular checks, and condoms are free in there, so no excuse not to have any

"I always carry one in my wallet, along with a sachet of lube.

Two or three in the watch pocket of my jeans or floating around in a pocket on my cargos.

But I am a bi male and we are well known as the origin of sti "

Lubricant check, good idea as I'm fairly dry these days being a mature menopausal woman lol

Did I just say that

Yeah but some carrier bags have holes in so kids can't suffocate so it's not 100% safe and I take my health very seriously if I run out of clingfilm I do use crisp wrapper but not salted flavour stings to much

To be honest it is both of your responsibility to buy condoms, as the responsibility to be safe lies with each other you equally.
