Why do guys think that because a female likes alot if sex with multiple partners that it is ok to call them a slut!?! I know there are some women that like it, that is fine, but we don't all feel that way. I don't like it at all, I don't enjoy feeling used or degraded, I like to fuck and enjoy myself with people who also like the same! I am nobodies play thing nor sub, so why would you assume you can talk to me that way?? Makes me so bloody angry! Sorry but needed the rant and was wondering how others felt about this...a guys view point would be good too! Thanks!

I wasn't talking about someone having that opinion...people can think what they like, I couldn't care...but some guys think I am ok with being called it because of how I conduct myself...assumption is rarely a smart move!

It's quite hurtful being called something you're not OP so can empathise with you there. It happens so much to single guys on here to, always being told we're just looking for a quick fuck or it being assumed we're all cheaters. Not nice at all!!!

It happens. I don't let name calling bother me. Women call each other sluts too, and some women think they are better than others on here, because they limit the amount of cocks they have in a year.

I think it's a bit of a tough one OP.

As it's such a widely used term in that capacity, a woman having lots of men sexually, and is generally an accepted term too it's going to be hard to break the communal behaviour of the masses.

I would suggest, and as I have seen, that you put something on your profile that addresses your hatred of the term when used to describe you and the things you like. Much like how you often see women requesting they aren't called Babe or Hun, yours would just say, don't call me a slut.

I had been seeing a woman regularly that enjoyed some explicit language and name calling during our meets, but she had a number of words she didn't like being used, when she told me them, they were never said again during our meets, the problem instantly went away.

If it's a problem with a specific guy, tell him and he'll change his behaviour. If it's a general thing band you're fed up of people calling you it in heir messages to you, call it out on your profile and instantly block anyone that uses it.

Personally I also think a little thicker skin might help, but I can appreciate that being called a name that is offensive is hard to ignore and let sit.

I understand it being used in a sexual way...have been one mans slut before...and loved him calling me it...but just flummoxes me that random guys think they can just use the term willy nilly n expect all females to enjoy it...some might...it is just the assumptions that all will that bugs me....and yes there are alot on here that also use it a an insult too...it is those people that can say what they like as their opinion means nothing to me...more often than not other females...shame really but am sure my opinion on the matter won't change them either!

I think it's sad that people who don't like the label should have to expressly point out to others 'I do not wish to be called a slut'. Surely no one should assume you love it unless you specifically say you do. I get those messages too and although I ignore them, I can't pretend they don't irk me.

I was talking about this exact topic recently ... it always bemuses me that (outside agreed terms of address with someone you know which is entirely different) *some* people think it's okay to use terms like 'slut', or the closely related 'slag' to refer to women who are complete strangers. In that context, the intent is almost always derogatory - a negative comment on that woman's sexual conduct. It does indeed smack of misogyny, because there doesn't seem to be an equivalent term for a male who has lots of sexual partners .... the only terms I can think of which imply the same like 'jack the lad', or 'lothario' or 'stud' have a ring of positivity and praise to them which the female terms don't. When some random calls you a slut it's also often very hypocritical too of course given their own sexual behaviour - not to mention that they'd overlook your terrible sluttiness if only you'd put out to them

And to go back to your original question, yes, it annoys me too - but as I see it as a sign of immaturity and/or arrogance I use it as a good filter

Thanks for the responses! Has been more positive than expected to be honest...the reason I posted in the first place was that I told a guy I was talking to that I was seeing my friend with benefits later so he replied " You will be in slut mode later then?" I responded with "Don't ever say that to my face!" That is where the conversation ended apart from an "oops lol"...so whether he was looking for a slut to play with I have no idea...but he is unlikely to be playing with me anytime soon

I knew he wasn't being an arse about my sexual exploits...but to assume I don't mind being called it on a sexual level because of said exploits is mirs than annoying....and leads to forum threads to vent about it...
