I feel as a female I could start this thread,

As I have a real grasp of the female body and struggles.

Being a slim girl and knowing the majority of the uk are classed as obease - is this the body form people actually find attractive - or just what they have learnt to accept as the norm....

Well that's pretty obvious, no!?

Many people are bigger due to a variety of reasons. Some eat too much due to a coping mechanism, some just love food. Some are larger due to physical or mental illness. You do get some who are genuinely happy being a larger build, but I think I'm correct in saying that for a large proportion of us, it's a constant struggle to get our weight under control.

I'm just wondering, have you been bigger!? Have you lost or gained lots of weight?

I am,hmmm how do I say it.... a very blunt young lady. Who isn't scared to say anything to anyone.

I have always been slim size (6-8) and work bloody hard to keep it that way.

This morning on a for of social media a post popped up with a picture of marilyn monroe and a girl who was so obviously anorexic and malnourished - with the caption ' which would you choose' and of course EVERYONE commented that they would choose Monroe over the physically and mentally ill girl in the 2nd picture.

I felt this was not a true definition of slim girls who work hard to keep our bodies in good shape.

The reason for the post is merely to get more of a true perspective on this.

As long as the female is happy with their life and appearance who gives a shit if they eat an extra cake or two?

Social media is terrible for showing only the "best bits" of people's lives... this is where envy and jealousy begin and people try and out do each other. No one is gunna post negatives are they?

If working hard to keep your body a size 6/8 gives you satisfaction then brilliant, but also if a lady who is a size 18 is happy enjoys going out and eating in nice places and indulging on desserts etc, equally that's fine

Everyone seems obsessed with "living for longer" these days and surely if you live life to the fullest, have a job that makes you happy and you're positive that's all that matters. Yes you could live an extra few years if you cut out certain foods but you could get hit by a car tomorrow....

So why could you not start a thread asking do you like toned slim women. Why does everything has to be one or another. There will always be extremes to highlight what people post on media sites, usually derogatory towards what they don't favour.

I can appreciate the hard work that people put into having a slim toned body, I personally don't like one too thin. I know that when I was thin I had a lot of abuse from my friends who were a larger size. I favour a smaller frame sexually as I said previously, but I can appreciate all sizes of woman. There is nothing better than seeing a woman who is confident in her own skin, whatever the size.

So, OP... I green arrowed you to see your other posts and you've disclosed your weight on a thread. In medical terms, both me and you are unhealthy. The person who smokes and drinks too much are unhealthy, as is the person who gets too little sleep a night. It's not good to obsess too much about being a certain size.

In the 'real' world, people tend to gravitate towards a healthy body.

What I'm trying to show you is that there's a whole grey area between thin and fat, healthy and unhealthy and it may not always be what you expect.

I think you only have to look at mainstream media to see that a slimmer figure is preferred overall. However, whether that slimmer figure is healthy or not, is another matter!

A healthy body over a poorly one,but people like all different sizes don't they, some prefer slim others more curvy and so on. So long as the woman is happy with how she is it doesn't matter about anyone else.

But as I said, I never said anything about what was more healthy... I asked what body type do people prefer ?

Slim or fat"

Presuming that someone who is 10 stone overweight is always doing fuck all is the first issue.

I think your question was answered, by me and many others. Generally people go for slimmer figures.

"So, OP...

Unhealthy in what way?

I do not drink or smoke... I swim and attend the gym 4 times a week. I cycle 5 miles to work everyday.

My body fat % is 11% - near that of an athlete....

I'm unhealthy because I am maybe a little under a recommended weight??

What I'm trying to show you is that there's a whole grey area between thin and fat, healthy and unhealthy and it may not always be what you expect.

I think you only have to look at mainstream media to see that a slimmer figure is preferred overall. However, whether that slimmer figure is healthy or not, is another matter!

I never mentioned what was health!

But.....

Being a stone underweight and living and eating well (as I do) is 100% better than being

Im getting the this that people prefer 'curves'

But that is more than likely due to mental conditioning and 57% of uk women are over weight

Absolutely rubbish and proves my suspicions on your post which is to shame others.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, for some sexual attraction comes from mental stimulation rather than quick gratification because a person looks a specific way.

Oh and skinny is a derogatory way to speak about a slender person the same as fat is for a larger person.

I am a size 18 - would I choose to be smaller - yes I would but I have hormonal issues that means though I eat right I don't lose weight - so I am healthy.

Luckily most people are not as judgemental as you and find me attractive in spite of me being so fat it's not all about size you know! X

I wouldnt want a beach body I prefer not to get a melanoma thanks!

Also you seem to have an almost hatred towards bigger women and are quite nasty with some things like saying we have gunts, doesnt matter how big or slim a person is to me they are still a person with feelings and constantly body shaming is horrible!

As a woman you should know first hand body shaming can be extremely cruel and bring people down!

More about that she can not get her head around that some people do not like the very slim toned woman. On here a high percentage of women are over weight,if you go by the media statistics, and being a slim toned woman it is the reverse of what is drummed into you from media and society.Men like woman of all sizes. The slim toned woman isn't the coveted goal of all."

When I was slim, and young no one gave me a second glance. Only when I had boobs and a fat arse did people look and show interest. Unfortunately, now, they come with a fat stomach

It was a simple question.

But of course all the 'larger' people have taken it the wrong way!

I'm done. If anyone wants to continue the out of context chat PM me

Only boring people get bored.. you just dont like that people havent agreed with you and that shock horror people can like a variety of people..

"I feel like you are body shaming and that you have issues about larger ladies!

I am a size 18 - would I choose to be smaller - yes I would but I have hormonal issues that means though I eat right I don't lose weight - so I am healthy.

Luckily most people are not as judgemental as you and find me attractive in spite of me being so fat it's not all about size you know! X

Your horse is running away mr knight! Its not bullying its pointing out someone is actively trying to body shame constantly, if it was the first time she said it would be ok but its like a broken record now

Oh really grow up! Your acting like a spoilt child who can't get their own way with people agreeing.

Im ok being larger I diet as want to loose weight for me not because of the way 'some' people in society think i should look.

And let's face it when the time comes your still going to be the same size pile of ashes as me.....

My two penno worth. I'm not sure if OP was just baiting when she said fat and large are the same, but this is just like the "athletic" debate. The variety in sizes of different athletes/sports persons shows what diversity there can be without being classed as obese. Just like slim/thin/skinny/petite can all be differing gteatly.

Although my own BMI says I am apparently overweight...

Truth is no matter how you put this question ..your gonna lose

As a man answering it ..he's gonna lose

We all like what we like ,attraction takes on so many shapes and sizes and colours

Personally for me ..from size 12-16 is hot ..but I wouldn't dismiss some size 20 or size ten much more to it than that

Sometimes we become attracted to someone as we get to know them ...isn't always a physical thing

That's not entirely true. Just the threads with huge sweeping generalisations where people get pissed off.

(I'm fat but not bullying you) you haven't personally body shamed anyone directly but to start a thread like this straightaway gets people's backs up whether they're thin or fat x

Punk 70s rock count? Somewhere from Ramones to Bowie via Meatloaf to Greenday and RHCP? Bit of Halestorm?
