Hotel meets on business trips

I live in Newcastle but travel to Liverpool and more often London with work commitments which nearly always a nice hotel stay.
To make the business trip more fun I normally have a look through profiles local to where I am and try and arrange a meet.
I have noticed quite a few profiles that state they are only looking for no strings fun but are not interested in people travelling to hotels on business trips, why is this? And what's people's thoughts on hotel meets? Some people don't seem keen on them Either?! (This is my first forum post, be gentle!!!) |

I am interested in the same sort of thing.
I think there are always some strings in NSA meets. It's the number of strings people feel comfortable with you need to contend with.
I guess not too many people genuinely do the last minute, FAF thing. Most seem to want at least a little rapport, and for ladies a bit of a safety check!
Planning well ahead and making contact with people in the area seems a sensible approach to me... |

To be honest, I kinda like the idea of me & Mrs Rockstar going to a hotel to meet a guy or lady staying there on business. A couple of drinks in the hotel bar then up to the room to take things further.
It's definitely a scenario I'd like us to play out eventually. |

If it wasn't for hotel meets I wouldn't meet at all. No, wait, that last guy stood me up. OK, I still don't meet at all then.
OP, you would bypass the 'no hotel meets' people more easily if you got a meet sorted in advance, instead of d*unkenly searching on here at 11.20pm after you struck out at the bar. I'm not saying that's what you do, but that is what a lot of people do, which can put people off meets in hotels. |

I misread your OP and see you already do exactly what I do. So your best bet is to just ignore the 'no hotel meets' people and contact the rest. |

I'm in this camp and do spend a lot of nights in hotels on business.
I have been surprised at how difficult it is to find a meet in this situation. I normally change my postcode to the hotel a few days before and send a few messages out.
I do get a lot of knock backs due to the travelling businessman but I guess that's just fab  |

See I spend a lot of weekends in Manchester, people will meet me in a club but not a hotel
It's just the way life is 
But now I am working in central London it makes it easier to meet people for hotel meets |

True and I know it's not for everyone but I don't see it being to dissimilar to meeting at your house or theirs when the wife is out etc.
I do prefer to spend an evening, go for some food and drinks and make a night of it but it is what it is.
It would be great to find a regular friend in certain locations where both can get out of it what they want. |

The thing that puts me off hotel meets with business men is that I enjoy regular meets, not one offs and usually business men are just after one offs. I also like to get to know the man before sex and it seems a bit pointless putting in the effort of getting to know him, for just one night. for me great sex happens when you have a connection with someone and I wouldn't get that with a man staying on business which is why I avoid them |

I thought I wouldn't mind meeting businessmen at their hotels when staying in the area, but in fact I find I don't like it at all as it feels as if I am being summoned like a prostitute but without the money. I realise some women might get off on this, but not for me. |

Yeah I think if you just go to the room and have sex it's very much like that and not there best feeling.
Would you prefer spending an evening out with such a guy, going for a meal and getting to know each other first?

Definitely this for me, but as mentioned above, many women, including myself, prefer to have regular meets rather than one-offs. I suppose though if visiting regularly on business, this could be possible. But in my experience few truly are. |

I get a lot of those businessman messages staying in a hotel asking me if I could pop in. While I've no problem with hotel meets, I would never meet a businessman/tourist short notice in his hotel. Their messages always give me the impression they're looking for a free escort to sweeten up their stay.
Also I not much interested in once off meets, I like to have the possibility to remeet when their was mutual enjoyment.

I would much rather prefer regular meets and build a rapport etc.
The areas I visit, I do so on a regular 6 week cycle. For example I visit Norwich every 6 weeks and stay over, so for me it's easier to have regular meets. |

That's the only time where we will purposely look for hotel meets when away with work or on holiday,as hotel booked for definate reason , we tried booking hotel for swinging before , to be let down at last minute . We do go on site and see if anyone nearby looks promising or we may think of looking for a random pick up in bar ( never found any yet ) ps at Gatwick hotel on Friday and 10 nights in cape Verdi if any horny people out there want to add to our hols lol , if we don't find any fun we make our own with wife giving a flash or teasing ?? |

I've managed some hotel meets when away with work. I find the key is prior planning - give as much notice as possible and try to get to know the person as much as you can before meeting. Most Fabbers are unlikely to jump at the chance to come to your hotel room on the same day you sent the first message |

if someone is around and we are able to build up a rapport beforehand can be very fun... I generally don't do short notice unless I know the person. same applies. but I have had some very nice experiences  |

Because op, they don't want to be seen as an unpaid cheap sub for an escort that's why. However I have.met a few in this way and been more than happy to meet for a social in the bar. One occasion we ended up in bed as we genuinely clicked and met on other occasions after that |

I stay away in hotels a lot with work, and in all honesty it can be a pretty lonely existence at times. A bit of company, even if just for a drink and a chat, is always welcome. If it leads to more then great, but very rarely happens... at least not for me anyway. |
