Ahh the BBC debate rears its head again. Yet another topic that has the capacity to polarise opinion. Once upon a time back when I was single one of the best ways a couple couple put me off meeting them was having the term BBC in their profile.

I have never referred to myself as BBC in any way but I do refer to myself as a black man. Some people are not comfortable with that because of the reference to colour. I don't care whether they feel uncomfortable or not because although it does not completely define me it's an important part of the way I see myself.

I don't want it to be censored by others who choose to find offence in some way. This is not regressive thinking and I do not attempt to impose my point of view on others.
