So, I have only been on here just over a week. But one thing that I have noticed is meets asking for room cost contributions.
Is this, this site's version of an escort? Not meaning to offend anyone if it's not of course. |

Not at all if your meeting in a hotel why shouldn't the coast be split? |

Unfortunately we can't accommodate and if neither can they then I don't see why they shouldn't pay half with us. Seems fair enough if they're also getting the same use of the room |

I don't think the OP is referring to 1 to 1 meets arranged with singles or couples.
He's referring to those meet requests where a lady / couple will require loads of guys come along and then ask each guy to pay £60 or more as an "entry fee" |

Are you seriously asking that? So you would rather someone else pick up the tab for a hotel room instead of share the cost?

He may have meant that I suppose. All he said though were that a meet was required to contribute to the cost of the room, which I would have thought goes without saying.

If a bloke wants to meet me in a hotel, he can pay. I,m looking for men who can accommodate. Therefore it's their choice not mine to use a hotel. Saying that I,'ve never done a hotel meet, it doesn't appeal to me. XXX |

Give the fella a chance ..hes using his brain and asking.. due to only being here a week...
OP there are a few who ask for a larger donation than the cost of the room...there are some who ask for a little...the best thing about this is you always have the choice to attend or not...if you feel it's too much then don't go...personally if meeting in a hotel I always pay as then I have the control to ask them to leave when it's time...nothing worse than someone overstaying their welcome but then I don't do group meets of the kind you are describing...
As a newbie to the site my best advice is before posting something in the forums try use the search function to see if it's been asked before and then you won't get all of the usual responses..
Either way welcome to fab and enjoy... |

It could be 1 of 2 reasons
(Not all men)
1) In my experience not a lot of men are willing and don't pay 1/2 towards hotel costs! Some females have stipulated on their profile that they expect them to contribute!
Strangely
2) Some people organising gang bangs expect men to pay fees, I do see this as a type of escorting and they openly advertise it on their profile

I've heard from guys that for gang bangs each guy would be asked to contribute about £10 or £20 for the cost of the room, which depending on the number of people using the room seems a fair division. We did once attend a party in a hotel and the organiser paid for the room and did not ask for contributions, which was very generous.

There's nothing wrong with old fashioned chivalry. I am always flattered if a man offers to pay for me, likewise when my husband entertains alone he will pay. Realise it's a minefield though.

Maybe I'm a bit modern, but I always offer half of the cost for hotel rooms. I just prefer it that way and I wouldn't feel comfortable having everything paid for by a stranger. Like I said, probably just a bit modern, and in that respect it probably offends old fashioned blokes in some way. Lol.
As Stella said - reassuringly expensive. If a bloke pays all the costs, I know he expects to get something out of it. If I split the costs, I know I can stop at any time. |

Chivalry is a code of conduct for fighting wars and killing people. Of how to protect the weak while trampling all over their lives largely for religious purposes.

Splitting hotel rooms is fine not that we do hotel meets. I know in my single days a high "contribution" for a gangbang would have stopped me going. To me that's just a form of profiteering |

If its a "pro rata" sharing of costs, I don't have a problem with it, but when a couple set a rate, and a time limit, for guys to attend, then it sounds like its more of a "job" than a fun day/night swinging. |

We find hotel meets a bit a minefield.
We're not saying we don't do them, but it's a headache.
As for gangbang costs, we can understand people asking for a contribution. Some couples even provide food and drink. But making a profit from it seems very dodgy. |

Yes I have just googled the word and that is indeed the original meaning of the word. But it can also be legitimately use to describe a certain type of behaviour from men associated with picking up the bill, opening car doors etc. Dare I change the word to 'gentlemanly'? Would people know what I meant then, or would there be a reason why that is the wrong choice of word? Perhaps I should English language classes before I post on the forums.

As we once booked hotel and guy did not turn up we no longer use hotels for swinging ,unless we have one booked for holiday or work and we want extra fun , other wise it's 50/50 they book and we give them half the costs ?? |

But that's more a party than a meet surely?
To the op, as already said, if it's a meet then split the costs, if it's a gangbang it's up to you but personally I wouldn't go anywhere near one that charged.
For us, as another poster mentioned we usually pay the hotel - it's our room, we get ready in it and more importantly says who comes in it, and how long they stay!
If it feels like you're only invited because your paying - avoid would be my thoughts.
The thing I love most about swinging is that people only do it with who they want, Once money is involved the waters get muddied.
That said, I do totally understand women who want to split the cost 50/50 or for the guy to book the room and then meet them there.

"I don't know I maybe old fashioned but I always cover the cost of hotel for meets . I just prefer it that way I wouldn't feel comfortable taking half from the woman but like I said probably just old fashioned in that respect it probably offends feminism in some way now lol
Didn't take long for that bite must be a record
Oh I understand. You just wrote that post to troll and try and get a reaction. It's not what you really think at all, you just wanted to see which silly feminist countered it.
No I wrote it as that's what I do on hotel meets but there is always one that would take it to the extreme . Congrats it was you
I don't think that splitting costs 50/50 is 'extreme' actually.
Neither do I . That wouldn't be what is referring to by extreme . The extreme part was going to the lengths of word for word scrutiny of my original post and likening what another forum user stated as chivalry around a hotel room cost to war .
No, I mentioned that chivalry was a code of conduct for war, rather than a code of conduct for how to treat women."
It means both, the word has evolved. But I would welcome a more suitable word. |

When I made this post I wasn't referring at all to prearranged meets between say a couple and an individual or two singles etc.
I was mainly referring to the random meets you'll find where a couple or single female is asking for a contribution (aka donation or entry fee - if you want to call it that).
The intent seems a lot different than from someone who has a room already and wants to get up to mischief.
- sorry for any confusion. |

To me, if a profile decides that they want a hotel meet and posts for one then they should meet the cost. If, during messages, two (or more) parties decide that a hotel would be best then the cost should be split there.

If we plan together to get a room, I'll pay half.
If you already have the room, I don't expect to pay.
If you're staying in the room and I'm leaving, I don't expect to contribute to the cost of that room. |

It can vary...... I don't do many hotel meets as I can accommodate any time (being genuinely single).
Last two hotel meets I had were one near Northampton...met with two other couples who thought an extra man would add to the dynamic. I offered to pay but was told that as they were staying over (two rooms) and that I had gone to the effort of travelling...then they wouldn't accept any payment.
The other one the couple travelled over to me...but stayed in Malvern. They had contacted me, wanting to make a start onto cuckold scene. They considered I was doing them a favour so not only did they pay for the room...but also paid for me having a meal with them prior to the fun. Part of the cuckold thing....?
I've never been one for "paid" hotel gangbangs.... that's basically prostitution...a "pop-up" brothel kinda thing? |

Pay for your room. The hotel doesn't let you stay for free. |

I've paid, gone halves & had rooms paid for, never felt there was an expectation & knew I could / would stop at anytime.
Personally I think it comes down to who you meet as to their level of expectation not who pays. |

That's charging for sex! You're not paying so that you can enter and enjoy a hotel room, you're paying to have sex. |

I'm shocked. At the maths on here
Example. A hotel room costs £100
The room is available from 2pm - 11am. The hourly rate charged by the hotel is £4.35
Say the gb lasts two hours, that's a total of £8.70
It takes 4 guys and a woman to make a gb. Therefore IF any charge is levied it should be £1.74 per person.
the end |

If a guy wants to meet me in a hotel, then I expect him to book and pay for the room; and not in the Shagalodge; yuk
But then again, I wouldn't meet anyone other than in a club so I guess it is a hypothetical scenario where i am concerned

If we're meeting someone at their hotel and they're staying in the room overnight they can pay 100% of the room costs |

I accept that this is how you feel about yourself
I kind of like it when my partner holds the door open for me or when he takes a heavy shopping bag off from me or when he holds the umberalla up for me. Doesn't mean that I can't do any of these things myself or that I expect that from him. But it is nice when he does it

When we use hotels for meets(very rarely), we don't ask for money. If however the other couple or men keeps offering, I(Ethan) tell them to give it to a charity. Hotels aren't expensive, we're here for fun not a transaction. |

I always think if a room is to be paid for then its only fair to split the costs evenly and you shouldn't have to be asked you should offer in the first place wnat ever gender you are. |

That's exactly what the maths should be.
Unfortunately it isn't on most occasions. When I first joined Fabs I attended one of such hotel gangbangs which charged £60 per single guy.
There were around 30 guys attending which brings the total to circa £1,800.
That's surely more than just a " contribution for room costs " |

I used to meet an old fb at hotels and we always split it 50/50. He said he felt awkward with me paying towards it, i said I wouldn't go if I felt i was being "paid for". As said by an earlier poster, the man paying for everything would make me feel like i owed him sex in return, rather than fucking him just because i want to.
I'm keen to take part in a gb but I would feel really uncomfortable if the men involved were charged more than just enough to cover room expenses, condoms, drinks etc. Again it changes it for me from being a choice to a service. |
