Should height be an issue on fab?

I have a couples profile as well and ladies/couples are always put off by my male friend's height of 5'5. This has been mentioned on a few.occasions and while my height seems to be ok it isn't on a guy - thoughts?

Heights never bothered me lol. In fact as Im 6 foot in heels I like to think ( he he )I look like a supermodel when out next to a less tall guy !

Some ladies love heels, Some ladies want to feel petit, Some ladies want to be picked up and thrown about the room. There are many reasons why ladies want a taller guy. But as someone with a short partner/FWB, you are best placed to answer your own question. You have a short guy yet love tall guys.

My answer: there's no rhyme nor reason. Some women are firm on their preferences while others are more flexible. But at least you now understand the frustration.

5.5 is just too short for us, L is 6ft so that would just look a bit silly, 5.9 would the shortest we would go i would say,

Ideally she would prefer taller than both of us

As someone who is 6'7" I have had a lifetime of people making comments about my height, mostly entirely unoriginal and insensitive, and even downright offensive at times. The only thing that matters is what you have between your ears, not how far off the ground you carry it. There are plenty of tall guys with petite girls, and plenty of shorter guys with tall girls, to show that height doesn't make any difference to whether someone is a good lover (or a good person).

Yep I personally prefer guys taller than myself but sometimes other qualities.come into play hence the attraction. I do know my friend is touchy about the subject. He had snide comments.hence the post regarding height.

Very true. But don't let the few idiots ruin your confidence. As I've found out, if they don't like any physical part of you, that's their issue not yours. There'll be plenty of people out there who will be attracted to you.

I like taller guys myself .. my reasons I guess are I'm pretty tall and wear ridiculous heels making me 6'2 but I have actually met guys my own height and been amazing

I guess it is just a preference thing not always set in stone but being honest about what you tend to look for ... same as I like men with hair on their head but if Jason Statham messaged me on here I would chew my arm off haha but that's because his attraction is voice, smile and eyes

But my point to the OP was just to say not everyone feels that way. Yes you do, but that's your own choice.

There'll always be someone who really doesn't mind either way, whether it is because height isn't an issue or because they feel attraction to who that person is inside.

Not a criteria for me if a woman's taller than myself at 5ft 8...

Taller women who date shorter men, it's an acquired choice, it shows the woman is extremely confident, doesn't have a complex in herself and doesn't need a man of equal stature, it conveys she clearly sees more in her partners personality...look at Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullam...

As for me, the old adage "good things come in small packages" spring to mind...

I must say (in the vanilla dating world.. not so much fab) that as a 5 footer if i am aware of someones height, say on tinder for example, i do base my choice on it... but in the opposite way... if it starts with a 6 they get knocked back... shorter is better for me. That said if i met the love of my life and he was 6'1 then so be it

It shouldn't be an issue but it is most definitely a preference.

Height is one of the first things I look at on a profile. If they're less than 5'10 then it's unlikely I'll be interested in chatting with them, especially if I've also got a 6'4 beast to flirt with!!

Being on the short side for a guy, I can certainly empathise with how people might feel if they are deemed too short. But at the end of the day I can't change my height.

Just as being short for a male might restrict partners for a male does being tall for a women restrict their partners?

At what point does height difference become an issue, a couple of inches, half a foot?

I'm quite tall but I never see height as an issue. It's irrelevant to me but I have seen couples and ladies who prefer taller guys. I suppose it's all about preference, as long people aren't offending or insulting people because of their height then it's fair enough to only want tall guys.

The only time I even consider my own height is when I fly long distance economy class and I wonder what it's like to sit in a seat for 12 hours with your knees under your chin.

I think I'm shorter than the average lady I meet on fab. I've never found it to be a limitation. I can repect it when a lady wants a partner taller than herself though. If that's a preference then like all preferences on fab they should be respected.

I'm 5"10... so I'm heels I'm basically 6"2/3... growing up I despised it.. especially when I was 18 and first going out and enjoying life and a dickhead lad came over and asked if I was a man.... seriously?!?!?!

And then as I got older I embraced it.. wear the highest stripper shoes and say fuck it!! The majority of men love the legs and the height and the fact they are face level with my tits... and then you get some men that want a little petite doll.. everyone has different tastes...

But for me I always said in order for me to feel sexually dominated I would need at least 6"2 because I still like to feel like a little subbie but I've realised over the years that some of my best experiences guys have been 5"6 even and it's blown my mind...

In general height differences are usually because of femur and shin bones. Adult torsos are usually more or less the same length which is where the "same height lying down" comment comes from.

If you are taller than your partner and you think it makes you look rediculous then why are you wearing heels? If there's only 2" difference between you then there is more rediculousness added by the heels than the barefoot height difference. If he were wearing heels and you were in flat soles the he would be taller. At 5ft10 he's still taller than the average Emglishman.

Wonder if such patronising terms would be used on a thread about race or sexual preference ?

In general height differences are usually because of femur and shin bones. Adult torsos are usually more or less the same length which is where the "same height lying down" comment comes from.

I don't think I am tall compared to my partner; he is 7" taller than me. I am only tall when compared to shorter men

Short men make me feel as if I'm the one that needs to protect them, that they are weaker than me (even if they are not) and there is zero sexual attraction. It feels awkward and a tad embarrassing.

I haven't run out of 'arguments'. There is no argument when it comes to my personal preferences or when it comes to what I find patronising

I blocked you along-with a couple of hundred other profiles simply because we are looking for a different type of person. It is not meant as anything more than that, so please don't take it as such; just that we don't want those profiles coming up in our searches

Height differences Do make a difference lying down because of the mismatch in the length of bodies.

If you are a shorter guy with a taller girl it's very difficult when you are sat on his face to give a blow job to his knee! (Ok, I am exaggerating slightly to make my point, but it really is a logistical difficulty)
