Granted it's a bit of a dumb thing to do, but if you did agree this, would you say you would be entitled to back out when you see the other person in the flesh, or is a promise a promise?
Has anyone on here been surprised before that someone they've arranged to meet hasn't looked remotely like their picture? Or they have been promised a certain type of experience when messaging but then the other party wanted something else on the day?

Theresa May says a date is a date. So you've got to sleep with them. Will of the people and all. Doesn't matter that you've just discovered they have halitosis. Bend over and spread 'em buttercup

yeah of course you can back out.
you can promise anyone anything but you ALWAYS have the right to back out, say no, not do what you said you would.
and if they're a liar why would you want to be intimate with them? |

2nd referendum in 18 months time then, with Remain as an option. |

So, even when you've made a provisional agreement, based on certain promises made, when it actually comes down to it, if things seem a lot different to what you thought you were signing up to, you should be given a chance to change your mind?

Why are you even questioning this? |

Well we definitely wouldn't make any promises before we had met someone first. But if we did, we would certainly feel free to back out, if it wasn't right for us. |

I traveled a fair distance a while back to meet someone and I got there and he had lied to me about a lot of things.... no spark at all and because I had agreed to stay it made it a bit awkward so I just got on with it.
The sex wasn't good at all, in fact I look
Back and laugh about the whole thing....
Never made the same mistake again |

With your reference to politics where it's done on a regular basis, any promise can be broken. Saying that it's stupid in the first place to promise sex with a first meet. You can agree with your meet to have sex if both are up for it but there should always be an option to cop out, ie have a drink at the bar before moving to the room.
It happened to me once, I walked out, just couldn't feel the heat but also the profile wasn't matching the person. Anyway paid towards the room but not the full half as I was stranded with no accommodation at 10pm at night and he stayed at the hotel. It was awkward but I can't force myself. |

Happened to me before I joined Fab. Met on a different site. Pics looked great. Then I met him. He'd put on a lot of weight since his pic had been taken.
We had agreed to go for dinner then a hotel. I went for dinner made an excuse and left. He messaged me a while later and I had to point out the reason. Don't think he'd realised how different he was from his pic. |

So you made the decision in good faith in the first place, based on information supplied?
Then you discovered, in reality, things were not as promised or expected when it came down to it?
So there should always be a point, right up to the last minute, where you can change your mind and back out of the provisional arrangement? |

So your view is people can make a provisional agreement based on provisional information, but subject to new information coming to light or finding out the original information was a misrepresentation, it is a fundamental principle we are able to change our minds? |

That's an awfully long winded way of saying "I met Dave, Dave isn't like his pics, i said I'd fuck him but I'm not now. Bye Dave". |

What do you mean sleep? Do you mean let them fuck me? If we arrange a meet we let the other person fuck me that's why we meet |

Been to few meets (from here and elswhere) where the person/ couple do not match their photos or description. Guys with average body types but are actually very fat, a curvy lady who was in reality not curvy but really, really, really, really obese. One guy reporting he had a 9 inch weapon of mass destruction but turned out to be smaller and thinner than mine (mine is distinctly average at 6"). Attractive face pics that do not belong to the people at the meet. Chain smokers down as non smokers, 'straight' guys who have had more cock than most women on here, 'busty' babes with tiny tits, etc.
I have never been anything more than polite when I have turned up fo a meet and the person/couple is not as advertised. For some I have gone through with the meet but for others I made my excuses and left.
I have also been to meets where the parameters of the meet have changed such as a couple with a straght guy who was actually very bisexual. As a bi guy I did not have a problem with this. I do get pissed off if I meet up with a guy for some wank suck fun but all they want is for me to fuck them (that also pisses me off when I meet women and all they want is fucking - it is soooooo boring and un imaginative).
Generally i will make the best of a bad/ mis-sold situatuon but outright liars tend to get binned.I have left meets before for other reasons. If the house or the couple/person looks like it has never been cleaned or washed then I go - straight away. |
