what did their profile say? did it mention they like to talk to people who compliment them?
every single guy on here sends a compliment on your looks btw, they think it impresses us or causes us to be interested in them. it's actually boring and easily ignored. |

I think you've answered your own question in your first sentence. They put them here for you to view, not comment on.
People do often comment on our photos and we try and say thanks but we don't get many messages. Some couples and women are inundated and probably choose who to respond to. |

We've had comments from our photos and always replied with a thanks for the compliment.
As we don't get that many messages i can only presume that the ones who you have sent the compliment to either have a lot of messages to go through and may not reply to everyone. As in no reply means move on and message someone else.
