If you have had a heart attack in the past get medical advice first. It raises blood pressure and could push it over the top. In some cases could be fatal. |

This is completely wrong it lowers blood pressure which is why people on blood pressure tablets have to be carefully and not take the two together |

It's a presecription only medication and so you need a prescription to buy it over the counter or from legitimate suppliers. Online suppliers ask questions about your medical history and say they have a doctor who checks your responses and then gives a prescription. Anyone selling viagra to someone without a prescription is breaking the law.
This is from the NHS site
"Contrary to newspaper reports, viagra will not be available “over the counter” and remains classified as a prescription-only drug. Boots has been given permission to issue the drug in 29 stores, but only to men who clear a suitability assessment performed by a specially trained pharmacist. So far, Boots is the only pharmacy to have been given such permission.
The Boots assessment includes a health questionnaire and a 30-minute consultation to check a number of factors, such as medical history, blood pressure, cholesterol levels and blood sugar. Men will also have to agree to have information passed on to their doctor and may be asked to attend follow-up sessions with their pharmacist." |

"why do men who don't have erectile dysfunction take it? "
It was created as a heart medicine. The reason it's so good for erectile dysfunctionality is that it opens the blood vessels allowing more blood to flow into the area. For the heart it does the same. For limp dicks it was an accidental side effect that has pleased so many people |

Because it makes the erection stronger and hence more sensitive which feels awesome |

It isn't a 'heart' medication, it affects the blood vessels in the lungs as is used for conditions there
It does lower blood pressure which is why in people who are on blood pressure tablets it needs caution and to be used with medical advice, but, with medical advice, it can be used with blood pressure medications and many diabetic patients use it who are on blood pressure medications

Our knowledge is that doctors prescribe it to guys with erectile dysfunction. It can actually cause problems to guys who take it that don't suffer erectile dysfunction, as in, it can effect erections. |

Yes they do as having Hi blood pressure can potentially cause irectile disfunction but as blood pressure tablets lower the pressure and so do viagra they are recommended that they are taken 6 hours apart as blood pressure can drop to low |

God what a slating ....i asked him for it . Tried it a lot when I worked on the railways .....taking it without need has no side effect ..apart from a blocked nose . It just increases the ability to be hard . Stay hard and repeat lots . In fact it makes it super hard . The wife has not complained yet . As for the caviject mentioned earlier ...i don't recommend f in law had to go to hospital to have it got rid of after 4 hours of being erect .....aint got the bottle to try that one yet ....there is a saying why be good at something when you can be fantastic at it !! |

It should only be used by those who really need it. Those who are otherwise healthy can become overly reliant on needing to use it to get an erection and can then struggle to get the natural ones they once had |

I'm one of those who get it on prescription monthly, free of charge...
I'm type 2 diabetic, have had a triple bypass and have a separate heart condition. What I'm prescribed is Sildenifil, same as Viagra but cheaper, works just as well though.
For those that have used it, I'm sure you'll agree that there is hard, and then there's Viagra hard, and that is on a completely different level
I don't need it as much nowadays, but when I did it was a godsend. |

Erm.... and the nhs isn't struggling enough with funding? Stop freeloading and get your own. Even if paying for prescription, the cost of administration and the drug far exceeds what you will pay.its another topic for another day but fed up of people thinking it's ok to think they're entitled to a bargain from the state.

Viagra actually widens the arteries and is often given in heart operation procedures in the young. It does lower blood pressure and contrary to belief should not result in headaches. Kamagra gel is a good substitute for post myocardial infarction but always check with GP FIRST. |

Me and mates used to take viagra when we was about 17/18 years old and couldn't last more than 2 pumps and a squirt if we pulled.
I've not taken it since but didn't do us any harm.
And luckily enough I mastered how to control my excitement with age..... I pump at least 8 times now. |

All anyone has to do is go to the doctor and discuss their concerns privately. That's what doctors are for.
Their are lots of underlying problems causing E D espescially for younger men.
You will probably be prescribed Viagra or similar as a first resort. Cialis is also popular as it lasts for 72 hours.
You may be referred to a urologist for tests.
And of course be very careful or probably NEVER buy off the internet. |

We use it now and again. I don't actually need it when we are together for our own quality time - but in clubs it helps to negate the sensitivity lost via a condom. It also helps to counter the effect of alcohol. |

Side effects are heartburn and blood vessels bursting in eyes if taken too much never take more than one at a time as it's not a "more is more " tablet it's will actually have the reverse effect sometimes taking half a tab is better (50mg tab) all round does the trick with no side effects |

The consensus of opinion is telling you that Viagra or it's derivatives need to be prescribed by a doctor....why can you not understand that it can be dangerous to take just to get a hard on.
If you have erectile dysfunction you are not automatically given Viagra, it is a controlled drug.
Any heart problem or other health issues can be compounded by taking this. As a diabetic I can tell you the side effects can be awful.
Please re consider you actions. |

1st time i took it , it made my dick feel like i was a teenager with the hardest erection id had since i was 15 .
I was early 30s then
I had no need to take it , like i have no need to take alcohol , but when you try something & it increases your enjoyment why not ?
Take it rarely now since someone i know died of a massive heart attack during a session with his new mrs .
He was in his late 60s at the time & she was a little bit younger.
Think he'd been on them every night for a week so not a great idea to be blaise about them . |

An insightful and well made point. And I agree.
To the OP. I'd advise the same as the majority in this thread: at the very least go and have the standard check-up that they do before dispensing viagra. Make sure it's safe for you.
I've never been (happily I don't need any erection aids) but all the accounts I've heard suggest that it really isn't too much of an imposition.

Very silly to self medicate which taking this without medical advise and prescription is .Allowing it requires a medical check and checking if you are on other prescription medication . Although many may say what a way to go they could present the perfect storm and it will not be so funny then .
If you want it or need it pop in for a chat with your Gp , |

I'm not ashamed to say.. Though this is the first time I've said it out loud.
I thought I was going to end up needing it. Turns out I was mentally unwell, not my normal self inside. Down, low and felt unloved by the ex. Nobody noticed and neither did I. It's only after it had passed that I understood and like me.. I dealt with it on my own and bounced back. My own Mental health is something im usually very good at managing. Im a happy guy a lot of the time on the whole.
But it went under the radar on even me. When I wanked.. I'd get it up ok.. But if I left it alone for longer than 10seconds it shrivelled up into an ugly witchety grub. Spend next minute bringing it back to life.
When the ex and I had sex, very rarely.. I started to droop.. if I wasn't going full speed.. or doing everything perfectly for her.. very bossy she was.. But I'd lost passion too.. As had she..
We break up.
I'm upset, emotions all over the place.. But I'm free and horny. Dying for the feel and hold of another woman.
But then I started to panic.. my cock isn't getting hard. What if it doesn't fix itself by the time it gets it's first chance to meet a new friend. Everyone I tried to take a photo for fab. I couldn't get it hard long enough for the pic to take without my hand pinching it into place.
First meet.. no worries.. It was fab.. she knew me and had met me twice before we got physical. I told her rightist the last minute.. she smiled and thought I was silly. She was very tactile and she was right.. I was very silly.. Obviously she was the social dom out of the two of us at that time.. I needed her gentle confidence. Up like a fucking gun salute. Till I left.. Got hard all week thinking about her.
Then I met the next person.. Less tactile.. not as good.. But a new body type.. slimmer than I'd been with before.. and a much sexier body than I tend to have slept with to that date. So I was rock hard again. No worries.
Then I met a woman I fancied a bit more than just physical and a little mental.. it was full on.. and that was before sex. When it came to sex.. I started to struggle.. the self doubt and everything kicked in.. this was sexiest person I'd been with and had feelings for. And I worried if I'd be good enough.. she was sucking me as a half lay, half sat, legs akimbo and I started to feel it go a little.. I told her it wasn't her.. I dropped more.. got embarressed and asked her to stop.
She did, but she kept her hand on me and tried to talk me round. I needed a fag. So I said.. I'll listen to you, but I just need a break. We didn't say much.. I said it's me.. not her.. that I don't know why, because it worked ok before.. She knew. It's ok
Then she led me back to the sofa, got down on her knees, pulled the towel away and held me again. Looked me in the eyes and said "Lean back, close your eyes, you've got a lovely thick cock and I'm going to worship it, the longer the better, relax and just focus on the feeling, oh.. and you can cum in my mouth.
Five seconds in and I've never had a problem since.
Unless you've got a physical problem and are prescribed this by a doctor. I'd leave it the fuck alone. Chances are it's in your head and you just need your mojo back. Ask for help. Whether it's your partner or a professional.
