Dax does some bits, he used to be in the 501st for a while but doing some of the bits hit hard on him especially the work for the "make a wish" foundation.
He still likes to tinker with his iron man suit every now and then but its more of a bit of fun now as he feels hes over the hill lol

Our main reason really is we do professional quality display photos for else where and like to keep thing separate.
We would LOVE a cosplay swingers event. Just have to settle for comic-con hook-ups to fill that gap. |

We Cosplay, attend MCM COMIC CON events. Also use our Cosplay in our swinging life. In fact we will be using sexed up versions of some of our Cosplay thus weekend at the Eureka Easter Fetish party. |

Currently making a costume... searched ages for something I could do as a bald guy and have settled on Karl Pilkintons Bullshit Man ??
Also bulking up at gym as daughter wants me to go as Armstrong from full mettle alchemist, with her as main Chabot the engineer (Going to take so much working out) |

I'm gender bending a well known and loved literary figure! I was going to go as a be lock in a nod to a succubus outfit that went down well before but I ran out of time so am keeping the ears and doing another costume. |

Ah makes perfect sense, was a silly question. Would going franchise be vague enough? Like Star Wars or marvel?
I'm rubbish at doing cosplay as in my head I want it to be perfect. Then I never have the time to apply to that perfection ??.

My 12 year old is into it, last costume I made for him was deadshot. Took me hours! He has just announced him and his 2 friends want to be heroes from Overwatch next. And I am to make all the costumes  I knew going to art school would come in handy someday! I've been winding him up saying I will go as Widowmaker. As she basically has her tits and stomach on display plus I am a larger lady he is mortified at the thought hahaha |

I think there's a bit of a difference. Fancy dress is something you do for a party or a night out or something. Cosplay is a tad more labour intensive and involves waaaaayyy more creativity! |

Love cosplay and have a whole heap of costumes such as Captain America, Harley Quinn and HellGirl.
You definitely get a fair amount of attention when you're in costume but I don't think I'd play in one. If I've spent months making a costume, I certainly don't want it getting ripped off me in the heat of the moment!
Though I did have a hook-up at the last con I was and the Harley mask *may* have stayed on ..... |

I think it depends on how ambitious you go. I've only done the one for a thirtieth birthday party. Cap was relatively easy as I could buy most of the clothes. Just had to make the shield and do a bit of spray painting.
There's loads of online resources out there. If you have the cash lots of people will do commissions too. |

As in start making one? I suppose you just need to research the costume you want. Look at how plausible it would be. Some will involve a lot of scratch building stuff. Like anything in armour has got to be crazy! I hear sewing skills are pretty useful |

1st I started with looking at what you want to do (example) Clnl Stars and Stripes. What they wear use you can find stuff that look like it "multi cam" (I used mk1 MTP's) budget the. You can Adapt these bought bits sewed the hood ect. Jus about looking and researching really. I would like some help with AXTON (from Borderlands 2) so pm me if you could help folks |

If your interested in dressing up look up the Freakers Ball at xtasia on the Whitsun bank holiday Sunday 28th may it's strictly dress up for entry and it's a really great night of swing and fet combined
everyone makes an effort and there's some great costumes with lots of naughty fun
Problem is every time we go it gets harder to think of what to wear that's not already been done |

Base is made from 10mm eva foam... Can download the pepakura files online for printing.
Total build time, 20-30 hours. Spraying was done over 3-4 layers it now has a nice metallic finish.
Arc reactor, fleabay about 20 quid.
