Recently I was checking who is near on my phone and usually I see quarter of a mile, half a mile etc. This time it said within touching distance! The person was from a location about 10 miles away and must have been either working, visiting or playing very close to me, and as I live in a cul-de-sac I was intrigued to say the least!! Does anybody seriously know how close 'within touching distance' is as described on this site? |

I live very rurally. Site showed they were within 0.5 mile. I can see half a mile in nearly all directions, across fields. I did kinda wonder where they were  |

I've only seen within a quarter of a mile even when my friend and I were both on in the same room it said quarter of a mile |

I've had "touching distance" a few times. One time I looked wistfully out of the window and saw my neighbour opposite doing something on her smart phone.! I'll never know for sure I suppose  |

Oh my god!! I never have this turned on but just did out of curiosity, I only have one within quarter of a mile but hes my neighbour I talk to loads! I did not expect to see him on here. Actually he'd probably say the same about me! |
