Wasting my time?

I often wink at someone who's profile I'm attracted to, my reasoning is that I'm mindful of the endless messages some ladies receive on here.
I'm hoping that the lady in question will have a quick look at my profile and message me if she likes what she sees.
I'm wondering if it appears lazy and if ladies think I'm scatter gunning my winks in the hope of getting lucky.
Any ladies care to offer their thoughts ?

From observations on the forums some people never look at their winks, others just delete as they find them lazy, others like us might look once in a while and many seemed confused as to the point of them.
I kind of assumed that they were to indicate an interest and that if you reciprocated with a wink that it would be followed by a message. That doesn't always happen, and I see some people on here say they just wink to show appreciation for a good profile. I think if you're genuinely interested in someone just send them a decent initial message, save any confusion. |

I think sending a message is the best way to show appreciation for someone's profile and to let them know you like the look of them.
A personal message where you have taken the time to read the recipients profile is much more well received than a wink that some people may not even check |

Winks are like messages for single women tho for couples maybe a different story from personal experience. Guess with a message its more effort.
There is no sure fire way to get the interest of a woman on fab tho maybe offering next weekends lottery number maybe help  |

Not so many. Depends when I'm online. A weekend I'll get more or if I'm online when I'm working nights. At the minute I have 8 unread. They are from last night and today. |

I usually reply to a message. Unless the profile and the message contain less than 10 words combined (more common than you imagine).
For me winks are futile, I don't pay any attention to them at all. |

I never look at my winks and say so in my profile. So if anyone does wink I know they can't read. I never delete friend requests because then I will get sent another one and I'm just to lazy keep deleting the same people.  x |

I occasionally look at who's winked at me... very rare though.
I do wink at guys sometimes, though, if I like the look of a profile I will always message.
I hate random friend requests. Never delete them though as they will always ping you one back so I just leave them unanswered...occasionally these make it to my block list as well.

I prefere polite conversation and see how it goes .find winks are a bit lazy. Had winks and I winked back if I think mmm .But where men fail is in connection with conversation. |

Only for the time being. Until I fancy another laugh at their ridiculous messages. Can males still wink me if I've blocked them messaging? X |

Well, We sometimes get a response but a lot of the time getting a decent convo out of them is akin to torturing a secret agent for info! Hence probably why they didn't message in the first place

As a couple we always check our winks and will wink back if we like the look of them. I think they are a good way to show interest both ways. I know this might not work for single women though who gets hundreds.

I've been here for many years and have never looked at who has winked. I daresay there are thousands by now and I'm not wading through all those profiles to see if I may find any of them attractive. |

Yes, winks are very useful for couples. Still, a well written message is much nicer. |

I think it's a good idea to show an initial intrest in a person or people,as I do explain in my profile why I use the wink function. Some do see it as lazy and that's their opinion,which is fine. Once they read my profile then a wink is usually sufficient to get the fab ball rolling. But everyone is different so what works for one may not necessarily work for another. It's why fab can be a real mission at times. Just don't let it get you down and move on |
