Could swinging ever come out of the closet
Having read a few threads there are differing opions on this.
Like being gay maybe people can choose to be open about it or not.
Our grown up children know of our lifestyle choice and do not care as its our lives.
So debate are there any people who wish swinging was acceptable and didnt have such a bad image. |

Does it have a bad image?
Nowadays does any lifestyle choice have a bad image, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone?
I think that generally speaking people are a lot more accepting than you would think. But there will always be those who's opinions differ. That's life.

I think that those who do not understand it, and those who are stuck in the dark ages with their 'isms' will have a bad opinion of it.
I think anyone who is relatively open minded may think it's not for them but not that it's bad as such.
I also think that the way people have been brought up for the last few centuries, i.e. with strict monogamy, may find it hard to accept.
I know I initially found it hard to accept that I do it. Being from a 'nice' family background and all that. None of my closest friends have been bothered and like to hear about my escapades 
Whilst our societal norms paint monogamy as the real deal I think it will take a while yet for swinging and polyamory to gain full acceptance |

Also technology has played a part. No one really blinks now if they hear someone is on T!nd3r or Gr! nd3r. |

We live in a society that is so marally conservative that a teacher has been suspended for a 'provocative' picture of her in a mini skirt.
We have a givernment that has banned ectreme porn, even though it;s not that extreme.
Those are the sort of benchmark that the guardians of our morals are working from, what people on here get up to will always be viewed as dviancy by many |

If people can accept firstly decent loving relationships dont have to be tradational marriages and can be open or have understandings, then swinging can come out a bit.
But as most people dont openly chat about details of their monogomous sexlives, then swinging must reamin even less openly mentioned. |

I'm out about my lifestyle and don't find that I has a bad image within my peer group. |

i dont think its that big a deal at all anymore,its not exactly a new phenomenon..its referenced in films ,dramas,soaps all the time,and has been happening forever..the net makes it more accessible to more people who are curious certainly, but i don't think thats a bad thing.i get the impression a lot of people like to think of it as far more of a secret club than it is. |
